Good Dimmer

The dimmer works well. Make sure you download all the documentation. The dimmer is feature rich and the documentation provides a lot of additional function including how to reset the switch in case you get in trouble installing it.

Nice features, easy

Easy to install, I like the light indicators on the side coordinating with the light level. Online instructions (scan the QR code) were easy to follow and included videos to help. I like that this switch can be used with LED and other light types (incandescent and halogen dimmable).

You better get this for LED lights!

I found out the hard way that I need an LED rated dimmer with my LED can lights. Purchased the Lutron dimmer switch when I recently renovated my kitchen and it works great.

Misleading

I bought a few of these dimmers which should have been combatable with my lights but they did not work in rooms where I had 3 high hats. This switch is designed for multi locations only not single pole

Disappointed, given the high price.

For this price, it should come with a great set of instructions ... but what it came with was a piece of paper with a QR code that took you to a generic Lutron website ... and you still had to hunt around for the right instructions. Lutron needs to do better when they are charging more than $50 for what amounts to a simple switch.

High end look

I thought buying a dimmer would be easy but I ended up spending an entire afternoon comparing products. I’m so glad I chose the Maestro model. We needed a slim profile for a small junction box full of wire bundles, and this switch did fit. We had to sort out some confusion though because our 1960s house has updated electrical, so we did have a neutral wire plus a red wire (not red/white stripe just solid). If you have a similar setup, hopefully this will save you some time. To install the Maes...

Should work with newer and older technology LEDs

My previous dimmer( installed 6 yrs ago) would not work with a new 40 watt overhead light. It would flicker and flash. This dimmer uses a newer technology that seems to be compatible with the new generation of overhead lights that use pulse width modulation to excite the LEDs. And I love the way it ramps down when you turn it off. Nice touch! It feels high-end expensive.

Can control up to 9 locations on the circuit!

Have used them in my homes for years. The electronics are top drawer and the be able to have up to 9 locations for control is mental! Must admit that they threw my electrician a curveball initially but reading the installation directions pointed out the mistake. 😂

Didn’t work with my dimmable led lights. I could buy a $60 version that looks the same that would work, but I couldn’t turn off my dimmable LED rope lights.

Does not turn light on, only dimmer function after the other switch turns light on.

I have had two of these previously, one in my dining area and one in my master bedroom. Upon replacing the fixtures in my recreation room I decided that the new fixtures were too bright for most situations and decided to install a dimmer. Having had previous experience with these and to keep things in the house uniform, I got this one. It is working as expected, was easy to install and set up for the LED lamps I have and is of good quality!
