Not easy to use as replacement fixtures.

Did not have any knock out on the back of the unit to bringing in AC lines only at the end. So you have to cut your own.

Not good for large space

Purchased several for a large space but it does not broadcast well and not very bright. Would have to have about every 4 feet to properly light the space.

Let there be light

The wired install went smoothly, and the daisy-chained install was even easier. The resulting light is very nice, and having adjustable light frequency and brightness is cool even though we ended up leaving it at the factory settings.

Nice 40 watt fluorescent fixture replacement

Easy replacement for a dual 40 watt tube fixture. Adjustable brightness and color.

Works as a plug in or hard wired.

Easy to hard wire or use as a normal plug in, I did a hard wire to the ceiling. very nice and very bright. It is made to mount to a circuit box but you don't have to use one. I did the installation myself and I am not an electrician.

Limitation to consider

My garage ceiling was not wired with a junction box. This means the leads and terminals are pulled into this box to be kept. And to get them into the lighting box there needs to be a knockout. This model has no knockout. However, this model requires the junction box meaning the the leads and terminals are stored there, not with the light. For my environment, no junction box, Acuity Brands/Lithonia Lighting suggested models SBL4, LBL4, or maybe the CSS depending on application. Otherwise, I...

Buy only if you have electrical skills

I liked the price (40% off). But there are no "knock-out" holes that the instructions describe. That's OK if you know how to drill out the plastic end, install a wire clamp, and re-wire the unit, but not every buyer does. Once you're done you're probably using this in a shop, where you'll skip the 'adjustable' lumens and color to their maximums. You'll never wish to touch the adjustment tabs again. (Ability to adjust is a waste).

Not easy to hardwire

My intent was to hardwire it and I had to do some rigging to make that happened.

Great light easy to intall lit up the entire laundry room much better than the fluorescent light it replaced.
