Loud compressor

I bought this a month ago to replace my 10 year old Other brand window air conditioner. I purchased it based on the reviews of how quiet it was. It does cool well however, to my surprise it is louder than my old one when the compressor kicks on. Maybe there is an issue with mine. It has a very loud gurgling sounds when the compressor kick on and off. My previous other brand model was very quiet.

Keeps the apartment cool!

This unit is very cost efficient.

This unit replaced a 10 year old wall unit. The dimensions didn't change so I didn't have to do any modifications. Unit seemed more efficient and the remote access was an additional feature.

Works great!

Purchased to replace a portable unit. Easily installed it by myself and it works flawlessly. Not too noisy. It took a few minutes to get app working, but it was worth the time to be able to control the unit from anywhere. So far it has performed well and I'm happily rid of the large, bulky portable with its huge air duct. Thanks LG and Lowes for helping beat this south AL heatwave!

Definitely worth the investment.

Luv, luv, luv this LG window air conditioner! Been keeping cool in over 100 degree temps, plus electric costs stay down, and the wifi (also remote control) makes life easier. Utilize the on/off auto timer for night/morning, making this one heck of a luxury unit.

Don’t use Lowes contractor Handy for installation

I haven’t tried the product because your installer hasn’t showed.

Put it on myself & went fair smooth, right fit for the window, book on directions helped, only question is should I keep the drain plug in as in MN. When it's in the 90s + it's very humid. It's going to be in the 90 + tomorrow so will see if the 8000 unit will do the trick.

Great cooling ability. cools more than is rated for. love the wi-fi feature. a little more noisy than i expected, but not bad

It's quite on the highest setting. It works well at keeping my living room & kitchen cool.
