Short Life

I had an old DVD player (about 10 yrs old) that finally died and I thought this LG DVD player would be a good replacement. Worked great for 9 months but when I purchased several years of a series I liked, the DVD player plays one or two episodes and then it starts to freeze up. This is not an isolated issue it happens with ALL the disks which play perfectly by the way on another player. I am EXTREMELY disappointed!

Region Locked

Bought it, but it would not play original DVDs from the US

set up poor

WHERE ARE THE WORDS FOR THE SET-UP!!! Tried to follow the pictures and click on the description of what to do next and the remote doesn't access the screen on the TV set. Nothing to choose because nothing is on the screen.

Image is stuck zoomed in with no way to fix.

The image is stuck zoomed into the middle of the picture, and is unfixable. We tried in vain to adjust the picture settings, but even with the image zoomed out to zero, and even with attempting to drag the picture around in the frame, the outer edges of the image are not viewable. My mother in law is hearing impaired and cannot see subtitles ...

DVD Player

Not all region 1 DVDs play...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just hooked it up, and not all of our DVDs will play. They are all region 1, they've all played on other machines in the house. There's no real reason why we should get the errors... now I have a 70" TV and only half my movie library available.

Space Saver

No audio

I just bought this product and it wont even hook up to my TV correctly because there is no audio cable. I can hook it up and see the picture but no audio. Now I have to go buy a whole new dvd player because even If I went to buy an audio cable there is no where to insert it.

Excellent value

No troubles so far with any disk I've tried to watch/listen to. I haven't got around yet to trying the USB device feature.
