It does not allow ventilation and it is costly.
This storm door has multi-point lock and security glass. I feel secure at home during the day with this door as the only barrier to the outside world. Seeing the outside world through this door is marvelous.

Second Larson to go bad
Would Not RecommendThis is second Larson door that the handle mechanism goes bad within a year or two. The latch does not automatically slide back in while door is closing so you have to turn the handle to return it in order for the door to close.
