Worked great for a few years.

Worked great for years. Now the deadbolt cannot be fully turned to the unlock position without wrestling with the lever. When the door is finally open the deadbolt only partially extends. It will not lock without the key or the inside lever. New batteries did not help. Took it off of the door, using the key, the deadbolt works perfectly. Gears are fine, must be the motor. Was going to just replace it, but now I find out that it has been discontinued. Sadly we have three of these. So, I guessing...

This lock is trash

I've had these locks on business and personal properties for years. I will be replacing them all with a different brand. Tonight was the 3rd night one of my deadbolt 909 locks was froze with no key available I took a drill and a half inch drill bit to the lock and in less then 10 seconds I was in. This is not acceptable for a lock product.

Unreliable. Only works occasionally. Constantly displays error messages. play with the buttons and work it manually and it will work properly for the next few hours or maybe a day or two before it fails. Batteries last about a month with very light use. I've replaced the battery box 3 times due to corrosion. This one at least is total garbage. Today (12/3/22) i finally gave up and removed the batteries and will use it manually from here on. If you buy this one good luck to yo.

awful, built upside down

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lockset will only fit if installed upside down. The slide bolt and key pad have to be installed upside down or the torque blade and turnpiece shaft to align. The two pieces are 180 degrees out of palhase. One might be able to install only the inside panel upside down, but the door knob generally prevents that. Anyway this product takes hours to install and will not install properly. I hope I just got a badly manufactured one. Garbage.

Stopped working.

I bought mine 3 years ago and it worked well until about a month ago. The batteries were dead, and I changed them. The keypad kept turning red as if the batteries were still dead. I changed batteries 3 different times and then the keypad just stopped working all together. I ended up replacing the whole deadbolt.

Came home to a dead lock now it won’t work again

The lock worked great until it didn’t. I’m assuming the batteries died while I was at work, got home and the keypad was dead. Replaced the batteries and did the SAME handing procedure as initially performed successfully and I get nothing. Factory reset the lock and attempted again and still nothing. Troubleshooting says the handing method was performed incorrectly but I did the exact same thing as last time and I’m not sure how you could mess up holding the lock button while you insert the batte...

Only one year

Bought this one year ago, and needed to change out the batteries. Once done, could not get the code to work, so I called the 800 and the person seemed "Put out" that she had to help me. Finally she said must be broken, you have to get a new one. I told her hard to believe that it was working fine until I had to replace the batteries. She then just said is there anything further I can help you with.

Professionally installed by my builder's security subcontractor last year. Works great when it's working, but good luck when it's time to change the batteries. Followed the user manual exactly in the MULTIPLE INTRICATE steps required to reset and re-oriente the lock and add/delet/reset codes and it won't work. A rubik's cube is simplier. I just replaced the batteries in the second lock and am not able to reprogram. Customer Support confirms that this lock, too, in fully inop. Fifty percent failure in less than seven months since moving in. Worthless!

I’m currently sitting in my driveway locked out of my house cuz this piece of crap is in a steady locking motion after I hit the lock button. There is not one piece of troubleshooting addressing this issue on this website or the internet. I cannot even use my key cuz it’s in a steady locking motion that won’t allow the key to turn and support is closed on Sundays, of course. The first one I bought, I had a locksmith install it. Unfotunately the re-keying did not work, then the battery died within a few weeks. Booked another locksmith to open it - they couldn't, so they destroyed the lock, and we finally regained access to the room. I bought a replacement, the exact same product, and the exact same thing happened. Re-keying failed, battery died after 5 weeks, and we now can't get into the room.
