Would RecommendThe replacement latch works like new. However, the instructions on how to lengthen the latch to 2 3/4" were very unclear. It took a "YouTube" video (which was hard to find) to figure out how to extend the length of the latch. Better instructions are needed on the package. When looking for the correct video make sure you put in the entire name of the latch and the length to which you wish to make it.

Fixed the Backdoor for $90 less than replacing set
Would RecommendIt is Quick & Easy to install/Replace. I had an un openable/locked door. From the inside I used a vibrating tool tor cut the old bolt between the door and the latch plate. (all of 5 minutes including putting the tool away.) Once door could be opened, disassembled the knobs, and removed the old bolt, installed the new bolt and latch assembly screwed the faceplates back & didn't have too rekey or replace the lock set. this is brilliant!!
