Hidden hinge jig

Had to resized some cabinet doors, because we installed a deeper sink. This jig worked perfectly.

Extremely precise

This is a very handy tool for cabinet making. This jig is extremely easy to use and very precise. Being able to adjust the offset with the turn of a dial is a cool feature. I highly recommend this concealed hinge jig.

Get addition to my tools

It worked great. Easy to align and get my hinges set to perfection.

It worked good, but not for heavy use.

This worked great, for the 12 hinge locations I had to drill. If I were doing an entire house, I don't think the product would hold up. I wish there was a steel bushing where the drill bit shank goes through the jig, I think it would last a long time, similar to Kreg's pocket hole jig are made.

Great product at a reasonable price

I ordered cabinets online and one of the doors were not drilled for hinges. This did the trick and was incredibly easy. There are lots of YouTube videos on how to use the product. (You need clamps to secure it to a table or bench to drill the hole.) One video said the jig was already set for most hinges I found that to be true for mine, no adjustment was needed.

Great.. simple to use

This tool is about as simple as it gets. Even with a routed edge cabinet door (not flat/square) I was able to easily line up the guide in the correct position to effectively and easily make the holes for a concealed hinge. I was replacing old exposed hinges on existing cabinet doors. Use your Kreg clamps to make the process even easier.

Disappointed

I used this jig on five doors before the plastic guide melted/warped and caused a hole to form on the side of the door. This is in spite of quelching the bit in water between doors and pausing drilling every 10 seconds (Kreg doesn't even bother suggesting these steps or recommending a specific drill speed). Kreg offered to replace the tool but not the door. The bit guide is garbage, it should absolutely be metal (like their other products). This tool might work on soft woods, but I would recomme...

Great jig to have for cabinet building.

This was a great addition to my arsenal. I'm building cabinets and wanted to have hidden hinges. I have only tested it once, as i have not built the doors yet, but will soon.

The product worked perfectly well for the first 7 doors. After that it literally melted. So I bought a second which promptly melted after 8 doors. After that I would plunge the device in water to cool it between doors so I could finish my project. Since heat is generated by friction I felt the drill bit was possibly dull and would not drill efficiently or the plastic was a bad choice of material for a product subjected to heat
