Still Leaking

I installed this according to directions; however, it still leaked. I had to call in a plumber who told me that the Korky flapper wasn't flexible enough and so he installed a new (non-Korky) flapper and it worked fine. In the end, it cost me $338 in addition to the purchase that I had made at Lowes. I am disappointed.

Good except for the noise during tank fill

Easy to install but makes a high pitched keening sound when filling the tank.

Tank bolts are too small and metric.

Dislike. The tank bolts are too small in diameter and are 7mm threads. I removed a nut from the bottom of the tank and the bowel had a washer and thumb nuts fastening the two together porcelain parts. I had to buy a new set of larger diameter bolts that were just like I removed and were not metric. The ones I removed were in bad shape and were not metric.

Not a good fit.

Worked but only just

The main tank seal is so large and soft that you have to tighten it doen to nearly 1/16” inch thickness to get it to seal and stop leaking. The kit came with 3 bolts, nuts & washer when you only need 2 and was short the rubber seal for a solid water line - you need to purchase the flexible water line that is 3/8 flash eon one end and 3/4 NTP on the other. The only brand of flush valve I'll use now.

After using (and replacing and replacing again) the "other brand" of flush valve, which only seems to last a couple of years at best, I decided to give Korky a try. It's quieter, fills faster, has an easier to adjust bowl fill valve, and lasts longer. And it's made in the USA!
