Would Not RecommendPurchased for the auto lock feature, within 8 months of light use, the lock is not holding when extended 10 or more feet. Disappointed.

Would Not RecommendI have owned many tape measures in my 69 years but this is the most disappointing. I would highly recommend that you purchase something else (anything). The tape cannot be extended with one hand beyond 24". The self lock feature sucks. It looked good in the store (wrapped in plastic) but this one is destined for the trash can. I won't even give it away.

Would RecommendI bought the 16' one of these. I liked it so much that, when I returned the next day, I went to buy another, but they were temporarily sold out. So, I bought two of the 12' ones. I have several longer tapes (25', 30'), but often, like in a bedroom or when hanging pictures, a 12' tape is long enough. Also, I have many tapes, but the tips on many are damaged and work poorly so - done with those. The Self-Lock feature is so natural and works great!
