What Customers Are Saying
The drain wrench received mixed reviews. Many customers found it effective and efficient at removing or installing sink strainers. However, some reported issues with the wrench not fitting their particular drain properly, causing it to slip or not engage the nut securely. The consensus is that the wrench works well for some users, but may not be a universal fit for all sink drain configurations. Customers are advised to measure their drain nut size before purchasing to ensure compatibility.
Customer review summary generated by AI, including incentivized reviews.Wrench is too loose a fit on reduced size nuts.
Would Not RecommendWrench is well made, but is a poor fit on the currently made sink strainer nuts. What used to be a 4-3/8 inch OD nut has been slimmed down to 4 inches. The tabs are correspondingly smaller and the wrench barely engages them. The wrench would probably just round over the ends of the tabs and fail to loosen the nut.
Save your money & use your oscillating multi-tool.
Would Not RecommendIt kept slipping off the nut on the sink. It did not do its job. It's also very bulky and the handle is not very ergonomic. I wish I could return it.
THe wrench just slip around my stainer. I had to cut the strainer off with my dremel power tool.
Sink wrench
Would RecommendVery good quality, actually used it twice. I'd buy again
Works ok
Would RecommendThe wrench did fit and the offset handle made it possible to remove the nut without breaking my knuckles. The fit on the nut is not great. Very sloppy.
hard to use
Would Not RecommendI bought the tool thinking it would make job easier but it did not ..I could not get it to catch and stay in place. So I went back to my old tool the oil change plyers and I got it done. So I return the tool.
Good tool but you may need more.
Would RecommendIn replacing my drain, I rotated through various pliers on my toolbox and had to get this tool, and a top stopper, somewhat in desperation. At the end, I eneded up pulling the dremel and cutting through as my strain was essentially fused to the tread. Im sure the tool works fine but if you’re replacing a 10+ yr old unit, you may be in for a surprise. Good luck!
Sloppy
Would Not RecommendWrench tolerances need to be tighter. The wrench does not engage ALL tabs/ears on the lock ring on the bottom of the drain flange. I tried to use this wrench to remove the brass lock ring on a shower drain. Like I said the wrench would not engage more than 2 tabs and at that had to try to keep contact on lock ring, way too much play for a wrench for this purpose. Return Unit back to store!
slipping
Would Not RecommendIt did not fit snug and kept slipping. I usually buy the adjustable ones. It was ok for new work, but to take off old old stuff, then get the adjustable.
replaced strainer
Would RecommendNeeded to replace one strainer in our kitchen sink because threads were stripped. Had replace one before and this made it much easier than before. I used this one before and worked great.
perfect tool to make it a five minute job
Would RecommendThere is always another way to do the job but with the right tools it gets done right away. This tool is definitely something to make it efficient!
A dream come true
Would Recommendso much easier to use then channel locks or a spanner wrench
kitchen sink wrench
Would Recommendthis wrench is perfect for the job, actually for a home owner it is better than it needs to be, this is the type that a pro would have in his tool bag, it would of been great to have a slightly cheaper model for a home owner that needs it only a couple times.
