What Customers Are Saying
The drain wrench received mixed reviews. Many customers found it effective and efficient at removing or installing sink strainers. However, some reported issues with the wrench not fitting their particular drain properly, causing it to slip or not engage the nut securely. The consensus is that the wrench works well for some users, but may not be a universal fit for all sink drain configurations. Customers are advised to measure their drain nut size before purchasing to ensure compatibility.

Would RecommendDO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT attempt to remove your old drain without this tool. The last plumber attached the drain so tight it took about 20 minutes and a few bruised knuckles to remove the drain. This tool is a must have. You may only use it once but it is well worth it. Dont be a hero, get it! Highly recommend!

Kobalt Wrench as advertised
Would RecommendThe product worked as advertised. Perfect use for the job.
Too big for my drain ring
Would Not RecommendThought it would save me. Wrong. It's too big to fit right. I don't know what drain ring this fits but it definitely didn't fit mine.
This wrench is a must for kitchen sink strainers.
Would Not RecommendGreat wrench by Kobalt. Does not slip like other Drain wrenches (Wing nut versions).
This wrench has an offset. It makes it very easy
It worked on a very tight drain
Too big
Would Not RecommendAs others have said, it is too big for the sink strainer and slips off way too easily. I hope it got the nut tight enough but I would not buy again.
Large drain wrench
Would RecommendThe product works well it's just limited to amount of space you have to turn nut.Must have for simple install
Kitchen sink drain tool!
Would RecommendExcellent for the job at hand when installing kitchen sink drains!!
Works great
Very good quality
Nice item
Would RecommendUsed these to remove kitchen sink drain. Worked great
So much easier
Would RecommendIt worked a lot better / easier than the one-notch wrench
useless
Would Not Recommendyou need both hands on it to work it as it has an insane amount of slop. This makes the tool useless as you will need to keep the basket from spinning with one hand.
Worked Well for Me
Would RecommendI replaced my strainer basket which also came with a new threaded tail piece. Tip- If your old strainer basket breaks free from the plumber's putty (like mine did) I found it easier to HOLD the nut with the tool and use adjustable pliers to spin the tail piece until the nut was off. Trying to hold the tail piece with the pliers and spin the nut off with the tool did not work well- the tool kept slipping off the nut.
Does not stay on the nut
It worked to some extent, but it slipped off the nut very easily
Works great
