I bought this for my wife, she is an optician and she loves it. I'm going to buy one for myself.

The product is just OK for what it is... the handle could have been better designed as a storage hold. Also the set could have also included #5 torx driver. I don't see the thinking behind having such a log shaft, since the handle doesn't require the extra length. There is no need for the common additional phillips drivers. Bottom line is the product is just OK... needs some further design thinking.

bad mechanisms

Overall a poor design. Quick release jams easily and the storage compartment can't hold more than one of the included bits.

Seems good, but...

I have used the other micro screwdrivers that are available at Lowe's. I was upset that I could not put the extra bits within the handle, like it is possible on the other model. Although, it is nice that there are some torx bits.

Good Description

Works good. Disappointed the spare bits do not fit into the handle. Only the short bit that comes already in the handle driver will fit.

Ok alt Quick Load

More tool than I needed for the project I was doing but well worth the purchase. Changing tips is fast and easy; the handle fits comfortably in my hand and head turns freely and smoothly. Overall I'm very happy with it.

Nice set of precision screwdrivers

The set included a 00 screwdriver which I needed to change a battery. I like the packaging that keeps all of the screwdriver bits together. Very happy with my purchase.

garbage

you can literally look at the t4 head and see it has no "teeth". wont actually unscrew electronics screws. everything from kobalt i've used is garbage

perfect screwdriver, no storage for the bits

Love this screwdriver itself. Perfect for smaller screws and close work. Super easy to change the bit. Holds the bits well. But as the other reviewers have said the bits don't fit into the handle for storage, although that space is clearly made for it.

Could be so much better.

Seriously? Who designed the bits to be 1/2" longer than the handle/cap so you can't store the bits? The bits from the older version of this screwdriver (that ironically DO fit in the handle) are too small (hex width) to lock firmly in the bit holder.

Bits can't be stored in the handle

Before I bought this screwdriver I verified that the end of the handle popped off so that the bits could be stored in it. Unfortunately, the bits are so long that the cap won't go back on with the bits in the handle. If they had made the bits a half inch shorter, or if the handle was a half inch longer, the bits could have been stored right there in the handle. It's very frustrating that they don't fit. Sooo... I have two other Kobalt precision screwdrivers with shorter bits. I thought I would...

Overall - well designed

The screwdriver is well designed and the clasp or holding mechanism use ball bearings. The result is a secure bit holder. Many of Kobalt's tools for electric work do not magnetize the bits. You can do this yourself by tapping the bits on a strong magnet.

Needs Longer Handle

Seems like a nice screw driver. It holds bits tight, but the release mechanism is not immediately obvious. I was disappointed to find that the bits could not be stored in the handle. If the bits were a bit shorter or the driver handle was a little longer, you could store several of the bits inside the handle for convenient access.
