Would RecommendI needed a new step stool and decided to go with the Kobalt. It is not a heavy stool to move around the house. The feet make for a sturdy base and I like the extra space for tools or whatever is needed at the time.

Two steps are too far apart for short people
Would Not RecommendThis ladder is sturdy enough, so I gave it two stars for that. However, I have had double knee replacements (in addition to being 5'1") and I just can't even use the second rung on this ladder, as it's too high. My knees don't bend all the way, and with my short legs I can't even get up on the second rung. It was quite an expensive purchase to only be able to use the bottom step. I will return it.
Make sure the top step locks into place!
This Kobalt ladder is great! I take it with me to my clients' homes when I am installing and dressing draperies and other window treatments. It's very sturdy and I love the depth of the steps. There are places to set your tools down, which is a nice feature too.

Would RecommendThis ladder is very well made with wide steps and a top tray for holding tools or small parts. It is rated for 300 pounds and is very stable when locked in the open position. It is also very easy to unlock and fold when finished. The legs have large plastic foot pads which sit flat on the floor when the ladder is in use, these protect flooring and aid in stability.
