The most easy to put up shelves on the market. Needed more space in my garage so I researched shelves that were easy to install. Kobalt was the best! the only downside is that they are not always in stock at Lowes because of demand

Good product

These seem to be good, sturdy shelves. Had to order 18 online since the stores only carry a few at a time. We do wish they had a variety of sizes, but overall, pleased so far.

Terrible

I purchased these to put on my K rail in my sons bedroom. I installed them and if you put the slightest bit of pressure on them, they fall down causing all of the items on top of them to fall as well. I’m only putting Legos on these. Nothing heavy. It cannot support the weight . The manufacturing of the bracket portion seems to be poor. I have purchased five different shelves and none of them make a secure hold.

Easy to install - Strong

Bought it to store beach chairs and umbrellas. Does the job perfectly. The rails went up easily and the shelf slid right on. A couple of screws to lock it into place and you're good to go.

Great shelf

Shelf looks great with cabinets in this line. Only complaint- slightly flimsy with heavy items on top

Works perfect

I liked the Kobalt system because it is not permanent like most shelving. I can move them around as i need to re-organize. i love this shelf and it can hold a lot of heavy items.

A strong and secure organization system

The Kobalt shelves are very secure and strong. The mounting system is well thought out and easy to install.

Durable and easy to hang

Was shopping for a lightweight but sturdy shelf to go above my garage workbench and a utility sink. We settled on this, initially attracted by the brand name. Used in conjuction with the Kobalt rails, it went up in minutes and looks great. I then added 24 inch lights under them with zip ties. Brightened the whole work area and looks great

Just wish the shelf units came in longer units as well. Also which there was a better hook selection.

Quality control issues

I agree 100% with IndyHandyman's comments that manufacturing consistency and welding quality is markedly poor on this product. I went to two separate Lowes stores and only found 1 Kobalt wire shelf that was not defective (out of 10-12 units I examined!) The problem with the shelf (and Kobalt's similar wire basket) is the two attachment brackets were not welded in a straight line relative to each other. The best storage system out there

This product is great. Easy to put up and strong. Best way to organize that garage........Shop Lowes online because a lot of the time product sells out at the store. Delivery is fast and over $50 is free

Sturdy Shelf

Bought this shelf to sit plastic and metal buckets on. I would have preferred the "basket" available but its size is smaller than the typical buckets I have. They are just normal bucktets. I am going to put a sheet of vinyl shelf paper (like Lowes sells) that I have used inside kitchen/bath cabinets and secure it with some wire ties so it stays in place. With its slight tack metal and slick plastic buckets should not slide. For what I'm using it for a slight raised edge all around the perimeter ...

Metal Wire Kobalt Shelf

this seems to be a sturdy product. I do think it is handmade though because each shelf sits at a slightly different angle, and it makes an wall of shelves look wavy instead of a straight line of shelving.
