Would RecommendI needed to cut a 15 foot length of 150 pound playground chain into several shorter length pieces. This bolt cutter made the job so much easier than using my wire nippers.

Would RecommendI bought these to cut small bolts down to length. The quality is good. Sometimes I use these to cut mobile radio antennas down to proper length. This caused a small ding in the jaws. I bought these for the compact size, wish the handles were extendable for the times when you need a little more leverage but not necessarily a bigger pair of cutters.

Would Not RecommendI bought these for my wife to use to cut some old fencing and barbed wire on my property. These require a pretty strong grip to actually cut the wire. I bought the Curtis brand that are similar and they work much better.
Great for chain link fencing
Would RecommendSo my 20" bolt cutters disappeared mysteriously (I think it was my neighbors that stole them), and I needed to finish cutting a rusted out fence that some annoying trees grew around. I picked up these because the local Lowe's charges around $26 for 18" BC's. So I decided I'd go with these. Heavy duty with minimal effort... as long as you're using them for the same reason. Glad I picked these instead of paying more for something bigger when doing a small job.

My wife wanted to make some Christmas wreaths and was having a hard time cutting through the very hard wire that was supplied with the materials. It was similar to coat hanger wire, but much, much stiffer. Regular diagonal cutters would cut the wire, but it was hard for her to make more than a few cuts. Okay moving to these cutters. Wonderful bolt cutter
Would RecommendI am in my 70's and had purchased 14 gauge wire fencing and didn't have a clue how to cut it. I saw reviews on thisbolt cutter on Lowe's website and figured for the price I would give it a try. This bolt cutter worked perfectly and easily and I was able to cut the wire fencing without any problem. What a great product at such a great price.
Good value for light duty work
Would RecommendBought these to cut 14ga fencing, and it works fine for that. Not sure how much heavier gauge it could easily cut. I didn't need an expensive item, as I don't often need to cut fencing or metal. I'm pleased with the price and that the bolt cutters do exactly what I needed them to do.
