What Customers Are Saying
The screwdriver has a mix of positive and negative reviews. Customers appreciate its good variety of bits, strong torque, and convenient ratcheting handle that reduces wrist strain. The 6x speed feature is also praised for driving screws faster. However, common issues include a weak magnetic bit holder causing bits to frequently fall out, the 6x speed feature losing torque and becoming difficult to use with resistance, screws holding the mechanism coming loose over time, and some units being defective or damaged. Despite these flaws, many still find the tool useful and time-saving, though the quality control and design problems prevent it from being universally recommended.

Would RecommendI've purchased 3 of these over the years and all of them still function perfectly. Yes: the magnetic bit retainer in the tip could stand to be a little stronger but it also doesn't collect every loose piece of metallic junk. If you will be working on individual screws this is overkill. If you have lots of long metal thread screws to remove and reinstall then this is a great time saver. The lack of batteries means it is always ready and the planetary gear ensures that it is very difficult to ov...
Web site is wrong
Would RecommendOn your website it is listed as having bit storage in the handle. It does not. It was bought specifically for the bit storage in the handle. Other than that it is a decent tool Thanks
Not worth the money
Would Not RecommendSo the end cap is designed to look like it can be removed like the cheaper costing version of this item, but it can't be, and the T-15 bit barely lasted a day, and I bought this to be able to screw with one hand and the ratchet requires you to hold it to work perfectly otherwise its a two steps forward one step back kind of device. In all fairness I would rather have bought the cheaper costing version of the same item because it isn't a strong magnet and the extra bits aren't worth it if they br...
Great idea, poor performance
Would Not RecommendI am now returning my third screwdriver. The first was damaged and the shaft was bent. The second was missing the cap on the handle where you would store the bits. The third seemed to be ok, but when I tried to use it on a screw, it kept jamming up and not rotating.

They took a fantastic design and ruined it.
Would Not RecommendI use one of the originals almost every day at work and it’s FANTASTIC. I requested one for Christmas and found that they re-designed it and ruined it. 1. They’re selling two versions: one with a bit carousel that hides in the handle. The other has a bit box that is separate from the driver (even though both drivers have hollow handles with a screw cap. The bits are about 3/4” in length and closely spaced in the box. It’s a battle to get a single bit out unless you use needle-nose pliers....
Best Screwdriver Ever!!
Would RecommendI love this tool! It's important to remember that the counter-turn should be used only when the fastener you're trying to drive is still loose. The driver doesn't provide a great deal of torque when you're going in the opposite direction. I had one of the very first generations of this driver and shortly after getting it I tried to force it in the opposite direction and I stripped the gearing inside and the whole thing froze up. However, I took it back Lowe's and they replaced it even though it ...
Yes; but with reservations.
Would RecommendMany people don't understand physics of gearing, obviously. Intent of 6X feature is not tightening or close-fitting fasteners, it's long fastener you might run in with a cordless and finish with a hand tool, or where powered tool won't fit. But that 6X speed is at the expense of torque. Can a bicycle or car start out in high gear? The high ratio handle produces speed, not torque. The mechanical advantage is identical. Imagine two ramps, one a slow incline vs a steep one. Getting a heavy package u...
Practical and reliable
Would RecommendI have one of those for a year now... General usage at home, maintenance of mine road bike and some parts of the car. Never scaped a gear, or got stuck /lock as some cheap ones. The bits are very sturdy - hand use only no power tools... Good range of sizes. Not like some kit that come with 30pieces - 2flats and 28 #2philips.... This one has small, medium e large philips, flat, hex, torx... All them reliable. The double drive, awesome. Never saw something like that before... Take a time to learn ...
Great driver if the bit would stay in
Would Not RecommendI received this as a gift and initially loved it, but after using it a couple of times not so much. The bits won't stay in at all. I'm spending way too much time running up and down the ladder to get the bit off the floor. It also a short shaft so hanging curtain brackets was a no-go without a longer bit. I have an extension, but again, the driver won't hold it. What's interesting is that I bought a similar Kolbalt driver for my husband as a gift, but his won't hold bits either. Love Kobalt tool...

Works as advertised Loud with Gearing Large Driver
This kit is nice with all it's Double Drive or 6x Drive Gearing. Intended to use it for Tech Support, repairing Laptops. But the Screwdriver is just to large for this. the older Precision Screw Driver is better for IT work. Which Kobalt does not sell currently. You can get a Precision Double Drive under other names on other sites. General Tools, WorkPro, and DoubleDrive brands sell versions of the same design. But would def recommend this for anyone that doesn't have Screw Drivers already. I wou...

Only works in one direction
Would Not RecommendGot this little jewel as a Christmas gift last year and from the moment I opened it it only ratchets in one direction. I'm not sure what's wrong internally but it flat out will not go into reverse mode! Returning for an exchange asap. Will give an updated review once I have he new one.

Screwdriver
Would RecommendI've got one and love it. It was given to me as a gift several years ago!! My buddy is doing some electrical work at my house, for no charge! He also replaced a switch (for me) for a lady I go to church with. We both forgot to carry a screwdriver with us. We had to go to Lowe's and get a new switch so I got this set also. I gave it to my buddy for helping me out. They are VERY handy to have!! Worth the $$$
