What Customers Are Saying
The wire stripper tool is versatile and effective, able to handle a wide range of wire sizes without adjustment. Many users found it quick and consistent in the stripping process, especially those new to automatic wire strippers. However, some customers reported issues with the adjustment screws, cutter performance, and inability to strip thicker wires. Overall, the tool is considered high-quality and time-saving for most users, particularly for DIY electrical work.

Great electrical tool
Would RecommendI'm a DIY and had to deal with outlets, light switches, ceiling fans, speaker wiring etc. Use to splice wires with a razor. It was awkward getting the right length and dangerous if I slipped and cut myself. Not with this tool. It'll cut the wire to size and remove the rubber protector from the wire with the greatest of ease. It has a guide to splice it to an assortment of sizes. Easy peasy. Highly recommend to the self home do-it-yourselfer.

Possibly will look at another brand.
Would Not RecommendNot that impressed with this tool. Reverted back to my simple pliers type stripper.

Excellent Wire Stripper
Would RecommendThis wire stripper works as advertised. Quick and easy operation to remove the insulation and leave the bare wire regardless of the size. Best wire stripper I have ever owned.

You need this if you've got a big project!
Would RecommendEase of cutting and stripping is a game changer, but doesn't work on really small gauge wire.

Pretty good, but.....
Would Not RecommendI bought a pair back on 3/9/23 to replace my old pair made by a competitor that simply wore out after about 15 years. I like the Kleins, and used them almost daily until I dropped them onto a concrete floor back in December of the same year. The bottom line is they simply don't work anymore, if the jaws close they will not grip the wire.

One job tool
Would Not RecommendTHis tool is good for one job, by the second job the grabber to hold down the wire was no longer grabbing the wire was no longer working. They say to adjust the small know, well it has been tightened with pliers as much as it will go and still it sucks. Sort of wish there was a better way to make the adjustment. Maybe I will tear it all apart to fix the poor craftsmanship or by a different brand that will work beyond a day.

One use and then failed
Would Not RecommendFailed after one single use. Both adjustment knobs locked up. Now I either tear up my fingers or gloves trying to turn them - or use a pair of pliers to make the changes. So now I am having to use a tool in order to use a tool. Disappointed

fine for the first few days
Would Not RecommendI was attracted to these strippers because of the action. they worked fine for a few days then the stop adjusting screw broke off. after awhile no matter how I set the tension they became very inconsistent when stripping #12 thhn solid. seemed like a good idea but just not up to Klein standards.

Great wire stripper!!
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been usin these for 2 years as a tech in an arcade/bowling ally and they are so much easier to use than normal strippers. We use a lot of different wire sizes and these strippers, and the klein 3005cr crimper, allow me to quickly cut, strip and crimp in new wiring without having to worry about locating the right size stripper hole. After 2 years of daily use the only issues are a slight bend at one corner of the wire cutter blade where i...

Best Self-Adjusting Wire Strippers I've Used
Would RecommendI've been routinely using wire strippers for over 35 years. Tried several (more than half-a- dozen) auto-wire strippers of very similar design, but all fell short of my needs and expectations. I use them for very fine work, as well as household wiring (ROMEX 12/2). The Kleins can easily strip 26 AWG solid wire without breaking it, as long as the tension adjustment knob is dialed all the way counter-clockwise (towards the minus sign "-"). When stripping ROMEX, once the outer sheath is removed...

Handy strippers
Would RecommendPerfect strippers if youre dealing with a lot of TPS (Romex) and very easy to use. Nice and solid, I've been using a set for 4 years. The depth setter hooks up in my bag so I've removed it as that level of accuracy isn't always needed. Definitely makes your hands less tired at the end of the day so you can work faster and harder!

Better w/o crimps.
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The other brand variants of these auto-strippers all come with crimps that are working against the spring whereas Klein's come with great cutters.

Hesitant about them at first but now like them
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wasn't sure at first about this style of wire stripper. After using them on romex and THHN wire I realized they are pretty nice and simple to use.
