Would RecommendI have a very expensive UEI meter that I used for HVAC, but it will not read dc amps. I bought this meter for that purpose which it does well. Seems well made with 2 replaceable fuses to protect the meter from dummies like me. I was really impressed with the generally solid feel of this meter for the price. Very pleased with it.

Klein multi-meter manual ranging 600V Model #325
Would RecommendIt’s straightforward simplicity. I’d purchased an inexpensive digital multimeter a number of years prior that just didn’t work one day I wanted to check voltages. This Klein digital hit the sweet spot price wise, with the Klein name. Maybe I’m old, and name/brand doesn’t mean as much anymore, but it checked all the boxes for me, price, and simple operation. The “auto-ranging” models cost more, but I just didn’t need that level of sophistication for what my needs are.
