Great toaster worth the price.

No matter the settings you gambled if your bread was toasted or burned. This new unit works every time. And 4 slots make cooking faster. We love the alert when done.

We finally woke up and spent a few extra dollars. Wished we would have done that a long time ago. We always knew KitchenAid makes superior products. And this is no different. It cooks very evenly. Settings make toasting accurate. Can not say enough great things about it. KitchenAid is the only products we look for.

Major FIRE HAZARD Could Burn the House Down!
Would Not RecommendI bought this toaster and used it a couple of weeks. Then I moved and stored it in the box in my closet (with nothing on top of it) for a few months. Since then I've used it about 2 months. The second slot gets fire red. When you push the lever down (with the setting on the lowest) the slot immediately after 4 seconds turns bright red, smokes, and smells from burning. See my photo! Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used once to burn off oils. First use in left pair was hot with toast darker than I thought it should be. Since then each use on each side was perfectly toasted. Still early for durability assessment, but I like the results so far. Have not used to toast bagels or frozen items, or to reheat something previously toasted. I would recommend this toaster to anyone looking for a side by side 4 slice toaster. Happy toasting!
