A couple tips...

We bought this model a couple years ago and it's great -- quiet, cleans well, etc. Good value. Our electricity to the house tends to spike and one time this caused the electronics on the operation panel to falter. The instruction book said to check the circuit breaker, which we did and the circuit breaker had NOT tripped. Inoperable 13 months after install

This dishwasher is now inoperable after 13 months of light use (it's just my wife and I in our house). Called Whirlpool to get service - they want to charge me $400 to come fix it!! Feel like I have been ripped off. Getting a bit fed up with Lowes at the same time. Going to start buying from local folks - not large chains.

Steam damage

Front vent releases so much steam it causes damage to stainless steel front panel, looks terrible, also when it's opened as your emptying out the dishes it pours water from the vent all over the floor.

Expected quality got malfunction

The dishwasher has been installed about 6 months and the control panel went out. Service tech came and ordered a new front door (panel is glued to door). I have now been told the panel is on "national backorder" and there is no estimate of a delivery. Washing dishes by hand, with an above average price dishwasher that is broken.

Broken & not repairable

Less than 24 months the interface inside the door failed. Have to buy $400 door to repair after being charged for $400 of wrong parts and labor. Given the run around for two months. Never buying KitchenAid or Whirlpool again.

Premature failure with impossible to find parts

I did all the research and this was a top recommended dishwasher. Less than two years of owning it stops working. KitchenAid for wa repairs thru Goodman who is a HORRIBLE, unreliable, & non responsive. Over 6 weeks of not working before they claim a new door is needed bc you can't order the part.

On 5th service call

I dont know if I just have bad luck but this has been the worst appliance I have ever purchased. lowes warranty keeps sending repairman out....fixes it then 2 months later it's doing the same thing. I won't be buying appliances from lowes anymore.

Its so quite

I cant even tell its running. Its fantastic!

Unparalleled cleaning

This dishwasher gets my dishes clean even though we have hard well water. I was using lemi-shine as an additive which I think was causing the dishwasher to get bubbles which triggered the float. Once I stopped using the lemi-shine, the dishwasher works perfectly.

Control Panel Fails After Just a Year

We bought this KitchenAid KDTE204KPS dishwasher in July 2023 expecting premium quality and reliability. Just over a year later, the control panel has started randomly beeping, some buttons no longer respond, and it appears moisture is getting into the door — an obvious design flaw. For a high-end brand, this is incredibly disappointing. We registered the product and took care to install and use it properly. A major failure right after the 1-year warranty expires feels like planned obsolescence....

Already Broken

I bought it off Clearance on Sept.15th because it had great ratings online. The store clerk assured me it had never been used and was only the floor model. We got one washing out of it and then it stopped working and started beeping which it did for a week while I waited on Whirlpool to get my registration sorted out because it was pre-registered in someone else's name and a delivery date that was 4 months before I bought it. Only hoikedbit up today was easy and first load went well ,saw this for half what i paid for it at lowes less then 48 hrs after puckingbit up and called they said price match is no good for items online bu ft it was on lowes app at lowes so not real happy about that.
