Buy the extra rubber gasket
Would RecommendBuy an extra rubber gasket and do not use plumbers putty. Use the rubber gasket on the top and the bottom of the basket.

Would RecommendEasy to install. Plumbers wrench or any specialty types tools not necessary. Will need plumbers putty for this (sold separately), as with most plumbing projects. When installing, make sure to keep strainer attached to basket, to ensure “K” logo on strainer handle is centered before fully tightening. The strainer also acts as a stopper; make sure the strainer is really pushed in for this feature to work.
