Medium Duty, Not Heavy Duty
Would Not RecommendThis shelf unit is built flimsy and light. Assembly is pretty straight forward. The wooden shelves are only 9mm thick which is less than 3/8 inch. I replaced the shelves with 1/2 inch sanded plywood. I assembled this unit as two separate units. The four corner vertical posts stick up about 3/4 inch above the top shelf; STUPID! This shelf unit barely does the job. I strongly do not recommend it!

Would RecommendEasy to assemble in no more than 1/2 hour. In one place I had to use a little force to line up the connections. It’s sturdy but hasn’t been loaded up yet.

sturdy once completed
Would RecommendDirections for assembly were okay but a bit more detail would make it easier. Provided mallet was excellent to avoid pounding too hard. But lots of hammering so take good care where your non pounding hand is during assembly! All parts needed were there including to do a side-by-side assembly. Liked having a choice of white or wood grain finishes for the shelves. Appears to be reasonable product for the price.

Kings Rack 42" shelves
Would RecommendI have completed the construction of the Kings Rack 42inch, 5 tier shelving. Construction was pretty easy, instructions could be clearer/written in better English. Several of the shelves arrived with minor damage in the corner, I am able to hide these defects. One plastic cap split when I put it on. It has been partially loaded and seems sturdy. Some reviewers complained about plastic connectors between the brackets, these are heavy duty metal.
Design flaw prevents vertical use
Would Not RecommendI intended to use this as a vertical 5-shelve unit, but was unable to because of a design flaw: the angled vertical bars have to have the exact same bend in order for the top half to rest on the bottom half. They aren't, so I have to use it in the horizontal configuration.

Would RecommendVery simple to put together. Solid! I love that you can choose either white or wood grain side of shelving board. Definitely recommend this shelf!!
