Quiet but weak

While this Insinkerator model is easy to install - especially if you are replacing - it is quiet my own experience that it’s very weak! It can’t even grind up a lemon rind or a lime rind without running for five or more minutes…not exactly practical or impressive.

Easy to install very high quality. Has plenty of power for all we have put thru disposal and is so quiet you actually cannot hear it run.

So quiet

Replaced hard used 12 year old insinkerator product. Replaced with similar model because we were so happy with original disposal. We noticed right away how quiet the new model was! You could hardly tell it was running! Which is a great feature since our kitchen is open to our family room. I did not install the disposal. Our plumber had no issue replacing the old one with the new model.

Great in all that matters

The lift and latch feature is an arm saver. The ease of installation is good. Directions are good. The unit is quiet and well made.

Difficulty draining and pushing waste through rubber splash guard

Works fine except the rubber splash guard that came with new unit prevent normal water to drain into disposal causing a delay and a bit of a back up. Pushing dowm on the rubber splash guard with hand or utensil solves this. Also you have to push waste down into the disposal unit . Too much attention placed on preventing any back splash of waste creates more difficulty in disposal usage. But the water back up (with no waste) is a constant problem unless you pusn down on onr or more of the rubber ...

Great features and very quiet

Very pleased with this product. Works flawlessly, air switch is great, and the unit is pleasantly quiet. Can't speak to innovation (so I only gave it a 3) due to lack of frame of reference.

New in sink disposal

The unit fit and installed nicely. I bought the unit hoping it would be quieter than the one we already had. The noise rating seemed to indicate that and that was the reason for upgrading. Sadly, the new disposal is just as noisy as the old one. Disappointed.

Itw asn't quite as easy for me to install as i had hoped but then i got some help and it went right in. The sink had been flexing up when the disposal was being pressed up and so it helped to hold down the sink bottom while the insinkerator was being installed. Quiet But Less Power and Bulky

I recently installed this new quiet garburator. It's bulky, but quiet. Unfortunately the sacrifice for it to be so quiet is that there is less power and in my opinion it's noticeable. I would prefer more power but with more insulation in the unit? It still cuts up food and crams it down the drain, if you're looking for a QUIET garburator, this is it.

A product well worth the money

I bought the predesessor of this model 25 years ago. I researched the brands and models again for this purchase and did not really consider any of the competitors close in quality for the price. Installation was smooth by following the directions. I'm an attorney, so if I can install it, anyone can. Performance has been outstanding so far, and with use of the Quiet Collar® Sink Baffle, the noise level during operation is barely detecable.
