Wonderful Product, Fantastic Customer Service

In so many ways, Insinkerator was so very helpful when I had to replace my previous disposal, which I had approximately 10 years. I was very nervous about the replacement model but everyone I spoke to (and I was probably "annoying customer of the month" was so helpful and reassuring that I was purchasing the correct product. So, thanks very much!

safety and efficiencny

this disposal has extra large capacity, grinds up everything--it's so quiet! and i love the safety factor--it does not operate unless the stopper/ignition is in place. no more fear of chopping off my fingers or grinding my hand down to a stump! My husband installed it, took a little extra since we have 2 dishwashers to consider, but we LOVE it!

The product changes diminished the product

The new dimensions of the batch feed model resulted in extra plumber expense to change the location of the waste line. The baffling of my older model was permanently installed at a lower point so the magnet actuator worked with the baffling. Now the baffling has to be removed each time to enable the use of the actuator. This has made it much more inconvenient to use the product.

Solid. Quiet. Easy to Install

I replaced a 16-year-old model with a most similar contemporary model that had finally corroded at the drain pipe. Installation was easy since the connectors are universal and haven't changed in years (at least 16) so I didn't waste time installing a new connector. I just lifted and twisted to attach the new one to the fitting. I also like the magnetic operation when the cover is engaged. No buttons or switches. Great disposal unit

This is my third replacement Insinkerator garbage disposal unit over the past 30 years. It is very quiet and well constructed. The old unit was still functioning but was 14 years old and was showing its age. The only problem I had was this unit is it is larger in diameter compared to the one I was replacing requiring moving a waste pipe. Don’t like new cover switch. Problem at times to activate.

DO NOT LIKE THE EXTRA PIECE IN THE UNIT THAT CATCHED THE FOOD;

I HAVE OWNED INSINKERATOR PRODUCTS FOR OVER 40 YEARS. THIS NEW UNIT'S DESIGN MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO RETRIEVE AND ITEM OR SEE INSIDE THE UNIT BEFORE ENGAGING THE MOTOR. ALSO THE BATCH FEED PIECE THAT ENGAGES THE MOTOR IS TOO BIG.

Like this new and improved unit!

Had a plumber install and it took him about 40 minutes. I peeked in occasionally on him and he didn't seem to be having any problems. This new unit is much quieter than the model I replaced and I like the new sink stopper as well.

Like that there is hardly any noise when using!

Good change in my sink disposal turn on, having no wall switch.

My sink is in the island, and does not have a wall switch to start the disposal. I had an older model InSinkErator, used for 21 years without problems. That switch was in the drain plug having to click the switch on inside the drain when I turned the plug. The new model InSinkErator has a magnet that turns the disposal on and off when I turn the sink drain plug. It is much easier to use and so far, I like it much better! Great change in design!

Excellent garbage disposal

We recently purchased a new to us house that had a non-working garbage disposal. The sellers ordered this model before the closing and it was installed one month after we moved in. I had never used one like this that doesn't have a switch on the wall to turn it on. This garbage disposal is excellent. Since it doesn't turn on without the cap in the drain, it is almost impossible to be injured by it. And it is very high capacity.

Very Quiet

I am impressed with the quiet motor. It works beautifully. If I would have known it was this quiet I would not have waited so long to purchase another one!

So far so good

Installation is simple in concept but easier said than done. The weight of the unit made it hard to position, lift, and turn to lock in place. Also, this is the only batch feed model available. I would have preferred a 1 horsepower unit.

Great product!

This InSinkErator is incredibly quiet. It functions well and is a great product.

It was better before

Changing the magnetic swiitch from previous design added 2" in height and put the waste line 1/2" below my waste pipe in the wall.

Perfect addition to my new kitchen

I have always lived in a home with a garbage disposal- even the house in which I grew up which my parents built in 1952 had one! We just completely renooour kitchen. We really didn't need a new garbage disposal but we decided that if everything else is new, we would buy a new one. This one works very well and does the job quickly. I'd definitely recommend this one to anyone.

Prefer smaller Badger series

We recently had this pro unit installed. We aren’t really pleased as the unit 1. Has no rubber baffle at the drain. 2. Is much noisier 3. Takes up more space under our very small counter 4. When it is running, sounds like there’s loose metal parts moving around. 5. When running, water will back up and fill sink instead of draining.
