Baffling baffle won't let food through

The sink baffle, a.k.a. splash guard, won't let food down. A single blueberry gets stuck. It takes 5 gal of water to get a little cat food down. The sink fills and you turn it on, but there's nothing down there, because nothing gets past the baffle unless you use your fingers or a fork to force it. I've been using garbage disposals for 50 years without any issues until now! I could never recommend a product that makes a person so infuriated.

Very Reliable Unit

Purchased an EVO Compact 3/4 hp in April 2007 in Florida. I live in the UK and run it through a 110 volt transformer. It has never missed a beat and is the best purchase of a unit made, far outlasting the locally made units at half the price. Got to laugh as the small suitcase was opened by security; what did the TSA officers think finding a waste disposal unit!

Really good disposal unit. I have used for many years and plumbers always comment it is the best!

One thing missing

This is a great product - just what I needed and ordered. The only thing that was missing was Plumbers putty - this should be included in the package or inform customers that they will need this. Other than that, this was perfect.

Best Disposal and warranty available.

I have always used Insinkerator disposals and they have done a terrific job and lasted long. They also have the best warranty in the industry. I picked this model because of it's compact size.

WORK HORSE

This is a replacement for one previously installed, which also was a work horse. During kitchen demo, the previously installed food waste disposer was damaged and parts lost. Hence the replacement. We had tried other food waste disposers but the InSinkerator outperformed them all.

Lasted only two years. Utterly frustrating

I was so excited to splurge on this because we were of the notion that it’ll last us between 8-10 years. We’ve only been at the house for two years and it was installed right before we moved in. I am so sad that it only worked for two years. I had a professional plumber look at it because I didn’t want to mess anything up. He could not even troubleshoot it. Very quiet

This unit is extremely quiet and it was easy to install

Installed this unit 8 years ago. Motor has seized. Dust from motor scene beneath the unit

According to google statistics, the average life span of a garbage disposal is 10-12 years. We installed our unit in 2016 (8 years ago) and the unit is fried. We will need to replace it, I tried all the trouble shooting techniques and the motor even turn. The metal dust beneath it indicates to me that the internal motor material is worn out. They claim these units are high quality and long lasting but only 8 years of life is pitiful. I guess I'll have to buy a new one.

Bearings gone

Motor wobbling after 8 months. It was silent originally, now sounds like a truck decelerating.

Great choice for us

My first exposure to this product was at a friend's home. It sounded so powerful, and it was so quiet, that I knew that this was the Insinkerator for our home. It was just a matter of months after that that our disposal died. We purchased it and had our handyman install it, and we have been very happy with our choice. It works very well with our open floor plan.

Super quiet - great disposal

We replaced our 15 year old ISE disposal that was still going strong as part of a remodel. This one is heads above the old one...super quiet and smooth running with no vibration. I had no idea that a disposal could be that smooth and efficient. I did expect it to come with a power cord, given the price

This product does a great job.

I have had a couple of months to use it, and find this Insinkerator to work very well. I had a different brand previously, and although it was the same horsepower (3/4), it struggled to grind some food scraps, whereas the Insinkerator has ground everything I've fed it more quickly and thoroughly. I like the batch feed, which is also different than my last one that worked by a sometimes-hard-to-find trigger within the drain. It is a lot quieter too. Easy install by my wife

My wife did the installation . She found it easy to do. We were very pleasantly surprised at how quiet the disposal was. We are very satisfied.

This product is quiet and efficient

My only issue is that the screw hold blade came loose.
