So far it’s working well,I installed the same model 4 year after moving into our house. went on youtube DYI, my husband is so impressed.

Easy Peasy Install

Dropped old unit and had replacement working in 15 minutes, start to finish.

Worth the investment.

I bought this unit to replace the same unit that I had for 14 years. Considering it has a one year warranty, I think the first one convinced me to get a new one of the same type.

Perfect for low use due to septic tank

We purchased the Badger 1 to replace the 23-year-old model that finally broke. We have a septic system, so utilizing a garbage disposal is for very small food orts. We hope the new one lasts as long as the first one.

I installed it myself with easy to follow directions. It's been several weeks with no problems. It replaced a previous in sinkerator which lasted for years.

Reliable cost effective appliance

This disposal works well and isn't too noisy. It fit in a tight space. I am pleased with it.

Easy removal and easy install!

I was replacing an old Badger garbage disposal (20 + yrs). It was an easy process to remove the old one and install the new one. A quick and easy DIY job.

Very cheaply made and sounds tinny

I replaced the insinkerator I had with this new one. The one I had was well built and sounded strong when it ran. The new one I purchased was not well built. It was light and did not have the power of the old one. The lock ring on top would not lock into the sink so I took the ring off the old one to make it work.

Does the job

Works well. I wanted the Badger 5, but they were out of stock. No issues thus far, quiet when operating and was very easy to install (about 30 minutes).

Maybe this is a good product, but cannot get it in

Here's my story about the Lowe's and Angi collaboration for installation: Angi gaslighted me for over a week. I had a simple job of a garbage disposal installation. I bought the disposal and added on installation from Lowe's. Lowe's then forwarded my installation request to Angie. An appointment was quickly made, Unbeknownst to me it was a pyrrhic appointment. So far so good

Fairly easy to install. After 2 months it is working fine. A real evaluation can only be made after a few years. My old ISE lasted 22 years of low volume usage.

It is LOUD

Just bought this brand new home, with an entire open area for Living/Dining and Kitchen. The grinding noise - even if empty- of this Insinkerator food waste disposal is so loud! Sounds like metal grinding glass. It’s brand new, installed by the builder. It does grind the food- so it works.

Challenging Installation

I found the instructions a bit ambiguous pertaining to the placement of the rubber interface with the locking ring. Consequently, I used some trial and error techniques and eventually figured out how it fit together.

Excellent

I had an Insikerator that was installed in our home when we built it. It worked great for over 23 years. When we needed a new one we new we could'nt go wrong with an Insinkerator. The new one works great just like the old one did.

Quiet, easy to install

Very quiet and powerful. It is light enough to install. Very easy to install. No need to hire installer.

The InSinkerator does a great job, runs very quiet, and has never given us any reason to worry about the function. I had one prior to this installation and it ran for 13 years before I had to replace it I believe the InSinkerator to be a very well-designed device and I would recommended to all of my friends
