Would RecommendI have a few sizes of these clamps, but 6 inch is the size I use the most. They are best set of extra hands you can have. I have never had them fail yet. There really is no competition for these clamps. The release mechanism is pure genius.
Good clamp
Would RecommendOverall his was a good product. Just had some difficulties with releasing the clamp. It seemed to stick.

Great Product! Wish I Had Purchased Long Ago
Would RecommendI don't know why there are so many negative reviews. These are great clamps. I bought 2 6" and 2 12" when I was putting my deck on. Marvelous thing these are. These are my first bar clamps and I don't know how I got along without them. I use them ALL the time. I just bought the deck board accessory and I'm sure it will be just what I need to pull boards into position. The most useful feature for deck building was using the clamps to hold a post mount jig in place until the through bolts were ...

Great Tool
Would RecommendI've owned these for 10+ years still work like new and still buying more (never have enough clamps). I own several different sizes but the 6" I use the most. From cabinetry to toys to duck blinds these have yet to let me down.
Amazingly useful when you need more hands!
Would RecommendThese have been a lifesaver! I have used them daily for years and put as much pressure as possible on them and they have never failed. You can never have too many hands :-). I'm always buying more sizes because they are so wonderful!
Cheaply made junk
Would Not RecommendPurchased 4 of these 2 years ago. Havent used more than a dozen times. They are all broken. The plastic breaks around the roll pin.
disappointing
Would Not RecommendI think this product is underdesigned for its purpose. i have written customer service, and will update this comment as appropriate. the quick change button jammed the first day (second usage), and i was unable to remove the end jaw to reverse it, and cannot use it as a spreader. the bar is too weak and bends readily, which makes it possible for the tool to snap out of the work, which is quite hazardous. It's possible that the 600 pound version is designed better... don't know. but the 300 pound...

Useful tool for one-handed work
Would RecommendThe Quick-Grip clamps revolutionized clamping. From the 1st version to the current version (see photo) they continue to be my go-to clamp in the wood shop. I also use them for framing. This is especially true when working alone. A wall top plate, fascia board, or just two boards held together can be clamped with two hands, one holding the board and the other hand holding the clamp. Pieces can be aligned and quickly clamped , measured, checked with the eye , and then permanently fastened. Then te...

Very Good Clamp within it's limits
Would RecommendThese small clamps work well and are very well designed. Please remember though that these are not heavy duty clamps and do not expect them to apply the level of pressure that can be cone with a good set of pipe clamps

very poor
Would Not Recommendbought about a year ago. they are 48 inch clamps. The older ones are great. The new SL300 (improved) is NOT. It quickly died. We buy clamps in pairs. The other one is barely hanging on. All our older ones are still working well.

Tried and True
Would RecommendWe have been fans of these clamps for decades. Our family uses them day, after day, after day, and none of us have ever had one fail. Ever. These clamps and the Speedbor bits are what initially turned me on to Irwin. It's refreshing to still be able to find a tool that you can buy once, maintain, and have last indefinitely. Some of my Irwin clamps are older than all five of my children, combined.

Good Bar Clamp
Would RecommendI bought a pair of these medium-duty Irwin 12-in bar clamps when I saw them on sale online for half price. I decided to give these a try since two of the Bessey bar clamps that I had been buying failed in the last year when the screw mechanisms stripped out. This pistol grip Irwin clamp is very easy to use and has been very durable so far. I liked these so much after using them a couple of times that I went online and bought another pair of them. I use them several times a week and they are muc...

mr
Would RecommendI have used many different bands of quick clamps an 'F' clamps. The products you supply are by far the best on the market. Not once has a quick clamp lost it's force or let me down. I look forward to replacing all my other clamps with irwin.
