Got the job done [w/ a little elbow grease] splitting some pretty hefty 12x4x8" blocks. I only had to break a few, and this was my first hardscape project, so I don't have anything to compare it to. But it's very solid, will get used again, and the price was right for a small job.

Would RecommendI was building a rocket stove from bricks, and Youtubers said I needed a couple of half bricks. I took my brick to a grassless place in the yard and marked the cut zone around it. Then I took my 2-3 lb mini sledge and tapped chisel slightly a few times and brick broke nicely..
