Better than nothing, but a bit underwhelming. I have a smart plug that hangs out of this, like a 1’ 3-fer would. Our previous GFCI had failed because being mounted sideways, there was nothing protecting it from water when something was plugged in. It’s too early to tell if this product will protect the outlet, but with the plug putting outward pressure on the cover seems to push the overlapping joint enough that I’m not confident it is still shedding water properly. Wasps can get inside
Would Not RecommendThis kept the weather out, but wasps entered through the opening in one corner. They built a nest inside and destroyed the GFI outlet. Had to replace the outlet and the cover.
If pests are a concern, wadding up a piece of foam, may help prevent them from getting into the cord port opening.

Installed easy, but if using on exterior siding with a slight slope, make sure you leave room at the top (not too close to next siding board) for it to open properly without having to notch out the siding just above the electrical box.
