Cans are hit or miss.

I've used these cans in the past with varying success. As others mention, the cans have a tendency to clog on the spray nozzles. My most recent experience with using one of these seemed to spray decently well, but after a short while I completely lost my spraying pressure. As I checked the can, I found that over half of the texture that should've been spraying out of the nozzle was actually leaking INTO the spray cap. For small repair 5 stars. Anything larger no.

If you are doing a small repair less than 3x3 go for it! Anything larger be prepared to buy twice as many cans as you should. I did a 70 sq ft ceiling and it took 5 cans. If I wanted it to be more dense I would need 7.

The Worst.

Does not spray. We shook the can for longer than the directions say. Just comes foaming out. Tried all settings, no luck.

A much needed spray to fix my ceilings

I had my entire house renovated. Needless to say while it was being fixed for painting they found a need to spray the white knockdown ceiling texture. You'd never know it wasn't the original texture stuff. This stuff is excellent and I would highly recommend to any one who asks about it.

popcorn repair

I had need of a repair on my ceiling. The popcorn surface had suffered damage and this product was great help. It has an upward facing nozzle to make application easier.

Save yourself the headache and just buy a hopper.

Several key issues with this product. The settings have very little difference in pattern. The product suggests a distance from ceiling of 18 to 24 inches when spraying but after the first 2 sq ft of texture it was closer to 12 max on spray distance. The trigger is VERY difficult to use with you having to grip too tightly to be able to effectively spray in a nice circular pattern as they suggest. NOT BAD

it's really not a bad product. I heard bad things. But it made my drywall patch almost invisible. so I will use again.

Spray flow was inconsistent

I used this on prepped flat/smooth repaired patches of drywall in an room that was already textured. It’s critical when applying texture to have good control over the rate of flow to get a good match to what is already in the wall. The specific cans I had would spray nicely on a test patch, then seconds later were difficult to spray. I cannot give this product a good rating.

The worst

I only had to texture a 60 sq ft bathroom ceiling should had read review first I washed off nozzle and my $20.00 i spent turned out to be a contribution to Homax product company I tried all settings heaviest to lightest and it sprayed the same I followed the instructions and I know it was not my neglect faulty spray nozzles very disappointed

Very Disappointed

I will echo the comments of several other reviewers. Sprayer clogs after a few seconds. If you can get it to spray, you can get a decent texture job. But the can is an expensive joke. I was only trying to texture a repair of about 4 square feet, and it took about 6 tries to get enough material on. Then it stopped spraying completely. I will be buying a hopper gun for my compressor.

Good ideas - that went south

I bought this product to do a minor ceiling repair and when I pulled the trigger it would not shut off. It kept spraying and I could not shut it down. Finally I got it to stop. I ended up taking it back to Lowes and getting my money refunded.

Knock out

This knockdown texture is a knock out. Covered holes my wife made throwing pans at me one night I came home late.

Back to normal

I had a hole on my patio ceiling and needed to look just as it before. One I fixed the hole I bought this ceiling texture from Homax pro grade and it was the right choice. After the job was complete my ceiling passed my homeowners association inspection. Im very happy. Thank you!

Excellent product

Needed this product to repair a ceiling. It did an excellent job.

Don't waist your money. Doesn't spray

I wish I would have read reviews before purchasing. It sprays for a second and then stops spraying and balls up on tip. This product should be taken off the shelves. I got more spray on my hands and floor than ceiling. Don't waiste your money.

Works for Cover Up-But Seems Overpriced

After removing popcorn ceiling, and doing patch work with plaster, we needed to add some texture back into the ceiling to make it blend with areas that had not been patched. The ceiling texture product fulfilled the job we needed, but seems to be overpriced. Also, pay close attention when buying this product because it is placed right next to the wall texture spray and the cans look identical if you don't read. However, they do not provide the same results when spraying it on the ceiling. Lesson...

Humiliated and Costly.

I bought a can of this homax ceiling texture to touch up a few patches in a ceiling at a customer's home. I spent hours prepping the ceiling getting ready to spray this texture. Here it is 4 in the afternoon and I am finally ready to spray so I can get out of the homeowners hair for the night and come back in the morning and paint. Well that did not work out.
