Would RecommendThis product duplicated the existing texture where I had replaced the ceiling drywall and removed soffits. You do need a texture gun and as recommended on the product packaging, do a test spray on a scrap piece of drywall. I found that you could not spray the ceiling texture with the texture gun held full vertical, you have to spray at 45-60 degree angle or the texture won't drop into the texture gun. Would RecommendI borrowed a spray hopper from a friend for this product. First time i ever used a hopper but everything worked out great. My only complaint is that the popcorn balls are much smaller then the preexisting balls on my ceiling. I would certainly recommend homex ceiling texture to a fellow diy-er.

Would Not RecommendNeeded to texture approx 250 sq ft of ceiling. Bought one box thinking that would be enough. Ended up having to buy 3 boxes. Coverage was light to medium. Manufacturer need to reevaluate coverage.
