bought it once home and installed the compressor was bad so no a/c and no heat tried calling customer services and waited hour and a half and never got to talk to anyone so I hung up im taking it back to Lowes and get a refund it was waste of time

Incredible AC & Heat

This Hisense 10,000 BTU works incredibly well. Just work out how you want to drain the condensed water. Where I use mine, I just stick one of those black plastic flat oil drain containers near it and run the plastic tube to it. When it fills up, I screw the lid on the drain container and go pour it out in the bathtub.

Very easy to use and set up and cool the room very nicely would definitely recommend this product

Great portable AC Unit

If you’re looking for a smart portable AC/heater to handle a large-Ish room, this unit is a good choice. Strong points: good cooling, modern features, has a remote, works with Alexa. Weak points: may struggle in very hot or poorly insulated spaces, heat mode may not match expectations.

Total garbage, not worth $700. Do not buy.

Drain-free design -- no need to manually remove water This does not work as designed and could possibly be false advertising. As I am continually having to drain the water from this as I am constantly getting an E5 error. Drain the water with provided tube, two days after use E5 error. Rinse and repeat. Buyer beware.

Great…until it wasn’t

I bought this unit on 7/30/25 when my AC went out. Last week, a sensor went out on my new HVAC system so I dragged this back out. It cooled beautifully for about 4 days and then it suddenly stopped cooling. The first thing I did was drained the water. There was very little water to drain from the unit. It kept turning off and restarting. I attempted to power cycle it when I noticed an error code say either 88 or 8.8. Now, all the lights flash at once and I can’t get it to do anything. Ran 3 minutes then died

This unit ran for 3 minutes after unboxing. Called Hisense for a Return Authorization number. Receipt and all requested info was uploaded to them while on the call. I was told I would have that number within 48 hours. It's been almost a week with several calls to Hisense and they can't seem to produce a RA #. It's still processing. LOL, what a joke. Do not buy Hisense products !!

very happy

I purchased this unit due centeral air unit failure. Wife is dealing with cancer and too much heat is unbearable. This little unit did Awesome.

Cooling btus

The btus were just the right size to cool half the house. Worked great kept it nice and cold in the house. Didnt even need to empty the water

Keeps beeping and turning off.

Add my review to the number of reviews where the unit just fails to work out of the blue. AND certain functions can only be implemented with the strange little remote that nobody wanted or needed or asked for, so if you lose or break that, good luck.

The unit is a little hefty. It also has two hoses.

Cools fast and looks good and it is not that loud.

Loud and tripping breakers

Had this thing for about 3 years, its loud, takes up a lot of space and is now tripping breakers. The manufacturer will not provide any kind of support since i lost the reciept and its no longer shown in my past purchases on lowes.... that was a $700 mistake.
