Would Not RecommendI tried to hang a very light weight bird feeder from tow of these and they wouldn't stick to the window. i tried several things, cleaned the window, put them on dry and then wet. One time while testing one of the popped off the window with zero load.

Get heavier rated cups for what you want to hang
I had had the Lowe’s smaller suction cups that should have done the job weight-wise, but they failed. I now have two 5 lb cups to hang a 1 lb item. They’re still hanging in there, but if you want to hang something heavier, beware.

I cleaned my window with alcohol, let it dry, dampened the cup and was disappointed after several tries that it was up, at most, half an hour. Didn't even try hanging something. My weather is temperate in Florida, so cold not a factor.
