Solution that worked

Solved my problem hanging pictures securely on my fireplace facade unlike other brick hooks

You need a gap between brick lip and mortar.

If you don’t have a lip to hang this on the product won’t work. Great idea in theory and not the products fault but you need a gap to attach this too of at least half inch. Sooooo it’s going back.

Don’t apply too much pressure.

The piece that bends to wedge into the brick broke very easily. One did great and the other broke without as much force as the first.

Not a universal fit

Wasted $!! Had to purchase another type of hanger that worked perfectly.

This worked well for hanging an object on my brick fireplace . Very easy to use.

More product selection

Lowes was the only place I could find this product for hanging things on my fireplace.

We used this hanger on 100+ year old brick. We were apprehensive, but our 16 lb art is secure.

Waste of money

I tried these on a brick wall to hold a wire formed Welcome sign. I tried to hang it with four of these (each one supposedly can hold 30 pounds). The four could not hold a three pound sign. Very poor design.

Just what I needed

I had something that I wanted to attach to the side of our brick house. I was looking at all manor of masonry nails, screws, anchors, etc. and stumbled on this little guy. Miracle of miracles, it did the trick, very simple to use and holds a lot of weight. I must admit, I was skeptical. But if you're hanging things on brick, you should give this a look.

Great Anchors

This is a great alternative to driving a concrete nail into your brick wall. When you are finished using them, no unsightly holes to fill. They hold a considerable amount of weight too.

Mortar joint must be deep enough for the hanger to work. My joints were not.

I was looking for an alternarive to drilling holes in mortar or bricks on my fireplaces. Scanned the internet and saw a few options. I read about another type and a lot of complaints about the fasteners not being large enough. Saw these online at Lowes and my local store had them in stock so I headed over. Useless

These clips are useless. Zero stars, really. One of the top “antenna” pieces actually broke off. And the “clip” that is supposed to attach to the brick didn’t do the job. That being said, our bricks barely have an edge or a lip... so these clips didn’t have much of a chance to begin with. But one broke and still didn’t work, so I can’t recommend them.

doesnt fit all brick

the quality seems good but these little guys dont hold on my brick. Morter is not recessed enough to allow an edge to bite in to. Need about 1/8” on upper and lower brick.

Needed to Hang a Picture

Purchased the Hillman Brick Hanger to hang a picture on the brick around our fireplace. Even after bending the "wings" to put tension on the hanger, it would pop off the brick very easily. I was not willing to risk the picture falling, so I chose not to use the hanger.

Works, but use with caution

I have a new house with a newer style brick that is not even. This hanger does hold and will hold a significant amount of weight. Two issues: 1. You may not be able to hand your item exactly where you want it. It depends on if the brick has a lip and something to catch on to at that spot. Moving up or down or over a few bricks, I was able to find a spot to clip it. 2. It holds well against weight pulling down, not so much with lateral forces. If someone bumps your object or wind hits it, it migh...
