Would RecommendI got tired of replacing my traditional piston driven door closer which always ended up getting rain water in it and then dripping out rust colored water onto the floor of our lanai. I used this spring inside a sleeve made from a short piece of pvc water line to help shield it from the elements and it works FINE! I would have submitted a photograph but your 5MB limit on the image is too small.

Excellent Quality
Very strong metal. Had to bend out the ends to hook onto for the application i was using it for, and it required decent amount of effort with needle nose pliers. Good spring.
