Make sure you use large enough washers under the heads of the screws that attach this mount to the electrical box. Ours didn't have any washers with it and our fan fell from ceiling onto our glass top dining room table when the heads of the screws slipped though the slots as the fan torqued. Yes, I did use a box made for fans.
Almost exact replacement
Would RecommendI needed a replacement mount because to original was lost in a move. This worked perfectly. I like the hook that holds the fan motor while the wiring is connected. I cannot tell much about the quality but it works as intended.

Not as universal as one might think
Would Not RecommendI am using some old ceiling fans that a friend gave me and I needed to purchase a mounting kit. Installed the kit, which was easy enough. What was impossible was the fact that the fan did not fit over the mount. So my fan is holding on by a screw on one side only.

Used this to install a Hunter Fan, and it didn't work out as good as I hope to. Have to order a brace from Hunter. It was not heavy enough for the fan and caused the fan to wobble. And the mounting holes for cover did not match up.

Better design
Would RecommendThe new ball hanging bracket is a much better design than my old one which broke and let my fan fall. The original was very flimsy compared to the new bracket. The new bracket is a much beefier design so is obviously much safer. The old bracket broke where a hole was drilled and tapped leaving very little metal. I have another identical fan which I am now worried about.
