Would RecommendFan blades just snap into place. Easy-peasy installation. Had to change the ceiling bracket from the old fan to the new one just to make the trim ring fit. Disappointing, but it only added 10 minutes more to the install. Not Harbor Breeze's problem. I was hoping for a shortcut. That's all. Great fan. Well-balanced right out of the box. No shaking at either of the three speeds, no "whum' whum, whum..." from the motor. Quiet and beautiful. We're happy so we bought two more for the other...

Would RecommendLooks good when up. Not hard to put up, but remember to turn off the circuit breaker in the panel, not just turn off the switch for the fan / light! Be aware these have the smaller candelabra base light bulbs. Nice that it comes with the bulbs too. Don't know how long they last, but seem wheel made.

Ceiling fan light kit
Would RecommendPurchased this light kit to replace a light that was shorting out on a ceiling fan. Although not the quality of the original light, it was an inexpensive fix that works perfectly. It was a much better option for spare bedroom than replaying the entire ceiling fan.

Glass shade is incompatible with any other brand
Would Not Recommendglass shade that come with theis unit is unique to this kit and cannot be swapped with any other unit even with this brand from a few years ago.

Would RecommendUniversal fit for multiple brands. Easy peasy installation/retrofit. Just be aware that it uses candelabra base bulbs: 40 watt max incandescent or LED equivalent.
