[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a medium sized pool and I noticed it was starting to get slimy on the walls so we brushed that down and we put the algae guard in I couldn't believe that it works so quick and that all I have to do is add it weekly and no more slime great product it works!

Since we started using this product, we haven't had any issues with green algae at all. It works best if you use it along with the other HTH products and the swimimpool water will stay transparent, odorless and beautiful.

The best non-copper formula

I had been putting other copper formulas of algeside in the pool and checking all the levels making sure the PH was right and the chlorine was low. I tried this Advanced version, which is non-copper based and put the recommended dose for the initial use in and the next day I saw results. I usually stick with Copper type formulas like the Ultra version, but I have to say that stuff is...

Algae Guard Advanced

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The bottle states that you can swim 15 minutes after using the product. However, took quite a while to skim the foam out of the pool. I definitely would not call this a non-foaming product. Other than that, it did eliminate the algae I had in my pool and it seems to be keeping it away as well. The directions say to use it every 3-5 days for maintenance. However, with the amount of foam it created, I definitely won't be using it that often.

If you follow directions exactly your algae will clear in 24 hours ready to vacuum. I like that you can use as a preventative algae maintenance especially for busy people who can’t check the Pool every day. This will be a staple in my pool shed! Highly recommend

More time to swim

It amazes me how quickly things go wrong when you don't. With HTH algae guard added weekly. There is less need to over-chlorinate my water. More time to swim in a safer pool.

Nice clean water!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you own a pool you know these humid conditions wreak havoc on your water. We have bad algae problems here when it’s like this. Since I’ve been adding this algae guard in maintenance doses, we haven’t had an algae problem. Recommended to my neighbor as well and he’s thankful!

Great for keep pool algae free

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This HTH® Pool Care Algae Guard Advanced is great for getting the pool back to good, and keeping it that way. I had a problem last summer with green algae in my pool. I read up and this was recommended, along with brushing it more often. I started adding this weekly and brushing more often. It’s easy to use, and I just add it to the water, run the filter and it’s good to go. The water is crystal clear and my family is super happy.

Great product!

This product is great for targeting that green pool look that happens and helps me to keep my water crystal clear. I use this along with many other HTH products to keep my pH balance correct and my pool clean and ready for use!

KEEPING A CLEAN POOL

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received the HTH Algae guard last week. We use this product in our fountain. It’s a rather large fountain in the front of our house. We use the same brands defoamer in combination with this product as the algae guard foams up in the fountain. Would recommend.

Works fast on stubborn algae

Amazing Job!

Our pool was a gross shade of green, after reading the directions and adding in the amount needed our pool is now a lovely shade of clear blue. There was no weird after smell either.

Clean and clear
