It’s a 10 inch spike, it works exactly how you think it would, you just of pound it with a hammer to your desired depth
12" spikes
Nails worked fine.. Driving 12" spikes into thick Pressure treat timbers seemed like it might buckle the nail, so drilled a small Pilot hole first and had no problems
