Good Blower... Bad Battery/Charger system

I am on my second one of these units. The first one quit charging within the first month and I was able to return to Lowe’s. Second one just quit after 7 weeks, can’t return to Lowe’s... we’ll see if the manufacturer stands behind their “4 Year Warranty”, not hopeful, reviews on manufacturer are not so good, and probably have to pay to ship a heavy battery and charger... really disappointed for how expensive this unit is and a replacement battery costs almost as much as the blower/battery/char...

Very Convenient

I purchased this trimmer last month to replace my 3-year old gas trimmer. Since then I have used it 3 times, and find it much more convenient to use than the gas powered trimmer. Its lighter, quieter, ( I don't need the ear defenders) and don't have to worry about gas.

Greenworks String Trimmer as satisfying to use as my Greenworks pressure washer and my Greenworks chain saw - need I say more?

easy to assemble and the first went trim went perf

read a lot of reviews on different trimmers and finally settled on this one. was leaning towards the a more expensive competitors trimmer but it was SO expensive, hard to find, and did not support all the tools the greenworks does. first run was good will check back in later for a update

16 inch 60v

Bought the trimmer when i found out about the new string head design, great improvement i love it so far! Used it about 3 times batteries last a long time!

Best Trimmer I’ve ever used

I could not be happier with this purchase. So easy to use and cuts like a dream. No more mixing gas and oil and no more mess. I’ve only had it for a month and the only thing I’m sorry about is I didn’t buy it sooner.

Great Blower

My son bought me this blower 2 yrs ago for fathers day let me tell you this blower is top Notch i have 2 other gas power blowers that i never us no more this blows much more air than them and you dont have the smell of gas all over you and dont have to mix gas and oil together the battery life is great and charges fast if your looking for a great blower this is it dont hesitate about it be in a battery charged blower

Used only 3 times before intake fan blade broke

Was excited to get this blower and it worked well the first couple of times I used it but on the third time while using the turbo function one of the fan blades just broke and flew out of its housing. Seems cheaply made.

Not My Experiemce!

It took me 2 months to find the switch that took it to high speed! I thought the basic speed was definitely high. Just plug in a battery and go. Couldn't be happier....however some always seem to have problems.

Yea - no cord!

Decided to get a new leaf blower —- cordless, battery pack — just pick it up and start cleaning. To go around the house without an extension cord is so great. Now, for the leaf blower - different speeds and it does a great job. Not too heavy with the battery. So far, great purchase. I’ve heard good things about Greenworks!

Nice!

I've only used this once so far, but I really like it. It's pretty powerful, not too loud and I love that it's battery operated, since I'm a female, I don't have to worry about gassing up the trimmer. The only con is, it's not very light, as advertised. It's not super heavy, but not light also.

Great battery life and light weight!

I got tired of my gas trimmer having issues and bought this today. I let it charge while I mowed. The battery was fully charged within an hour. I had not trimmed in about a month due to my gas trimmer not working. I used it in the low-speed setting and had no issues! Covered over 1/3 of an acre, including along a chain link fence, and still had half a battery left. Much lighter than a gas trimmer and my arms and back were not sore after use. Highly recommend!

Powerful

Similar weight to my last gas trimmer. Seems well built and balanced, was able to tear down quite a bit of very large / tall weeds. Battery lasted much much longer than I expected. Very very glad I bought this instead of gas.

Nice Alternative

My trimmer is 4 cycle, and I didn't want to deal with premixing just for 1 tool like a blower, so I took a shot with this and so far so good. Nice and compact, clean, quiet, and surprisingly powerful. I may have used it for about 10-15 minutes (actually running) before it died. I was able to blow out my garage, driveway, walkways, and some leaves in the yard before the battery died. I would NOT recommend this for blowing leaves in the yard, it will die before you finish. Battery dies if left on blower

Purchased 8 months ago. Battery dies if left on blower after 2 days. Recharges fine, works for a day or two, but if left on blower for over two days - battery is found dead. Brought back to Lowes (4 year warranty), they said contact manufacturer. Called number listed on blower, on hold for 10 minutes then told call back. Sent warranty request online - will report back.

Absolutely useless

I basically had all the problems others have already stated. It didn't work right out of the box. The bump feature didn't work. Consequently I had to take cap off which is not an easy thing to do and pull more line out. I thought the spool was wrapped wrong. I had purchased an extra spool only to find out it didn't fit. after an exhausted search there are none to be found. Apparently there not made any more. I tried wrapping line manually and that was a lesson in futility. So I read the reviews ...

Almost Pro

I found the Greenworks blower much better than the Ego backpack blower. The Greenworks blower is very lightweight and agile. Greenworks gets it right with the cruise control button. Unfortunately, the highest setting on the cruise control button isn't enough power, so you will still have hold the turbo button. When you hold the turbo, you do get some serious power, not like a high-end Redmax or Stihl blower, but enough power to blow everything and the gravel. I found holding the turbo button ...

Very happy with performance

I am very impressed with the power of the blower. I bought it after the leaves fell, so too late to check on that, but every other area I use it on is very easily cleaned. With the booster, the blower actually pushes my are back a bit. It does not come with a strap, but does have a hook for one. I happened to have a strap and find that useful.
