Best Thermostat
Would RecommendEasy to install. Separate sensor is a game changer because it is more accurate than the one inside the thermostat itself so it saves energy and cools your home perfectly without overworking your system. It also knows when to use more energy in a cheaper part of the day as well as relying on the fan and letting the compressor rest truly amazing! Highly recommend.

Downgrade from 3rd Gen - lost/worse features
Would Not RecommendThe rechargeable but hard-to-service battery died in my 3rd generation nest after 10 years of service so I figured it was time to upgrade. But this is a tremendous DOWNGRADE. The Nest app doesn't work with 4th Gen, so you have to use Google's TERRIBLE Google Home app. Gone is the simple and intuitive home-away functionality from Gen 3 and the Nest app. It took me 3 hours to finally find how to set up home/away in the Google Home app, with most of the results I found (on the Google site no le...
