Exterior keypad failed after a rain...
Would Not RecommendInstalled on 07/23/2021, and it failed on 07/24/22 after a rain. It was installed on the trim on the exterior of the garage door as shown in the product marketing photos. I called Genie at that time and was told that it is not weather proof, and that rain can not contact the Keypad, and that it should have been installed in a protected area (not as shown in Genie's product photos). Simple to use, pricey and doesn’t last.
Would Not RecommendWorked for a few years then it stopped. Its kinda pricey too. The old one worked only after spinning the batteries first. I like the simplicity without smart features. I wish it just had a security door with a combo then the garage door button underneath.

Would RecommendI replaced my old sun baked (originally installed in direct sun here in Las Vegas) with this unit. The original unit was installed in the early 90's and the sun and heat finally cooked it. This unit is easy to pair with your opener with afew simple steps. It easily screws to your and looks good.
