Coolest thing

I saw a similar one on the internet and being a bargain hunter, I price checked several places. We have recently done a lot of business w lowe's and I decided to check them. Not only was item less expensive, but stainless steel instead of plastic.....and free shipping when I signed in before ordering.......We will be using this to put down flooring, among other things.....

Does Its Job

I got this primarily to retrieve a profile from an existing chair rail in order to match it. It did this job fairly well. I was able to transfer the profile to paper carefully and was successful in locating what I needed. My only critique of the gauge is the resolution of the bars. A little thinner would be better.

Love this tool!

I am so glad I discovered this contour-gauge online. I have so many projects at home that I have put off because of the hassle of irregular shapes. This tool is going to make things so much easier!

Great tool for beginners

When I was first learning to tile a rental I couldn’t figure out how to do doorways and a friend recommended this tool. I’ve used it ever since

Sturdy but not big enough

If they made this tool 6” longer it would be perfect

Great for custom or complex shapes.

Used it to scribe the cut line on a stair skirt added after the steps and rises were already installed. Be aware that friction is the only thing holding the rods in the tool.

Not as advertised

The specs state that this gauge has 35 leaves per inch which would be finer than others I've seen. I took a chance and bought it, and it's identical to any other of this type you might see online or at home depot. The leaves measure .031". Simple math shows the closest spacing that could be achieved is 1/.031 = 32.3 leaves per inch.

Wish I Knew Sooner

This tool is great. I cannot believe I completed so many home projects without this.

Great contour-guage

This is a very good product for transferring the contours of trim. It made cutting base board and ceiling trim much easier as it gave a precise outline for coping. Care has to be taken so that the wires are not bent especially on the end of the gauge.

Good product

General brand products always seem to be really high quality. This gage is good quality at a good price.
