Stainless Steel Contour-Gauge

It seems to be a good product. I noticed the brassy metal end caps are pressed on vs. fasteners. It would be great to be able to increase the friction of the pins when they become loosened and not able to hold contour shapes. I would not place is a storage container or tool bag with heavier or odd shaped items be placed on top. I believe the contour fingers would bend if the item was of substantial weight. I look forward to using it more regularly

Contour Gauge

I purchased this for my husband for his Birthday. He is a hardwood installer and I thought this was a great tool for him to use. He loves it! My husband said that it makes cutting a lot faster and more precise.

Contour guage

This tool is essential if your trying to match an angle in a project that does not have standard angles. Works great.

6" Stainless Steel Contour-Gauge

Needing to try to match a complicated contour I purchased this gauge. With it's many tiny pins it can easily conform to very complicated contours, hold it's shape and allow you to then transfer the contour to another object you are trying to join up to the original.

Flooring must have tool

If you are doing any kind of flooring this tool is essential to get an accurate template to use to make cuts around irregular shaped objects like door molding and plumbing fixtures just to name a few. Those things are terribly hard to get right especially quickly. This saves time and materials by letting you do it right the first time.

Contour What?

Not user friendly. The pins will overlap or spread and will not stay aligned, preventing an accurate measurement. Never thought I'd ever say this about anything but the plastic version of this tool works much better.

Contour Gauge

Tool worked as expected - it helped me to outline the area necessary to cut and fit two tight and irregular corners.

Good Tool

It worked we were able to use the tool and cut the ceiling tiles.

Saved the Day

This contour gauge was what the doctor ordered for my small project. I needed to fit the bottom of a baseboard over a threshold with a change in floor elevation and have it fit as snug as possible. In the old days I would have cut a template out of cardboard, being successful only after several tries. This contour gauge saved me a lot of time and worked better than I expected.
