Louder than expected

Heat shield over the muffler rubs against the muffler and is loud and annoying. I'll probably take it off and see if I can bend it away so the metals don't touch each other. I bought the generator to camp with so I want to make it a little more quiet. Haven't gone yet. Just filled the oil and put gas in it to test. Ran a heater and skill saw with no issues.

Good generator but..

This is a good little generator, but the only thing I have a problem with is that there is no fuel cut off valve. The off/run/choke switch just turns the generator off and does not run the generator out of fuel. I’m thinking as far as storage. I know the manual talks about fuel stabilizer, but I think a fuel cut off valve would be great. Quiet and smooth

Excellent Generator for the price, but...

This is an excellent little generator and produces enough power for its size. if 2KW is what you need, this will do the trick. However, two things were disappointing. One, it is a lot heavier than the Honda equivalent. And two, it is no where near as quiet as the claim. It is downright noisy. Unfortunately, to get lighter and quieter, a Honda will cost you almost double the price. So for the few times you may need backup power, this will do just fine, and you will not be disappointed. Lots of features

Starts and runs great. Very quiet. However, there is a slight “ticking “ or “ knocking” noise at times. Also it squeals when I plug in a 500watt ceramic heater. No squealing with a heavier load.hoping the noise goes away with use as we don’t have any Generac service in this area. I may take it apart myself. Otherwise I quite like it.

Bought this generator because I could not find the generator that I was looking for- turned out I got a better generator at a better price! Light weight compared to other generators in its class, very quite and looks great. I recommend this generator to everyone I meet. I’ve demonstrated it several times to other campers as we travel across America.

Outstanding generator.

I spent 3 months researching generators for my RV. I chose the Generac IQ3500 after carefully comparing all brands. This is the RIGHT CHOICE!! Outstanding generator. Very well constructed and solid. SUPER, SUPER QUIET. Easily runs my entire RV with AC. Easy to operate. The IQ3500 is defiantly the "top of the line". I highly recommend this generator.

Primarily Backup

Good product

I think its a great generator, however it was damaged upon delivery. The housing cage was bent and the panel also a little bent up. Normally I would have sent it back but needed it ASAP. Overall it runs great but was extremely disappointed with the damage upon delivery.

I like this iq3500 except.....

Seems like a great product but the motor started surging after the first hour of usage. I suppose there is a plugged orfice of some sort in the carburetor but I don’t really want to take it off and clean it. The fuel filter should have taken care of this issue. ??

Very quiet

I purchased this to use at an off the grid tiny house and really wanted something quiet. This works perfect for a quiet power source. The only thing I’d like to see addressed is having the oil drain out of the bottom instead of the side. The side drain isn’t very user friendly.

Quiet, small footprint, easy starting.

I got the Generac IQ3500 to replace a much cheaper, much larger, very much louder generator. The Generac doesn't have as much power, but is so much better in the size and noise areas. I had never really used our old generator and I gave it to my son who used it to build a shed on his property. It failed after a few hours, It was cheap, but had no reliability. Best overall but still lacks features

After extensive research I chose this for my RV as a dry camp accessory. It is the best value in inverter generators, but lacks one major feature. No wheels or handles, and there are none available as aftermarket add ons. Very cumbersome to manage without them, since it is quite heavy. Otherwise it has everything I wanted, and is reasonable quiet.

Great for boat lift

Purchased this for a boat lift for a 23’ runabout and it works great. Impressed with how quiet it is and how easy it starts. I’ve only used it one boating season but just started today after it sat for almost four months to drain the gas. Took about 5 or 6 pills to get it started but once started worked like a charm. I’d definitely recommend.

Cheap pull cord

Have had the recoiled replaced twice for $100 ea time. All plastic junk.

Super quite and excellent quality

Purchased for deer camp as well as use at home during power outages. Very quite, excellent quality. Electric start is awesome!

Flawed Product

I purchased this unit 6 months ago from menards.com. Overall, this seems to be a good generator with the features necessary to support sensitive electronics and it is very quiet. However, it has some production flaws. The first thing I noticed is that the exhaust pipe does not line up with the grill that covers it. Add more trouble with this product right out of the box

It's a big generator a heavy generator and a very very noisy generator. We've had trouble from day one we've had to replace the starter once and after that and has run rough the Generac dealership worked on it and said it was something to do with the engine.
