This generator will do the job done in a normal size home

The location of the Auxiliary Shutdown switch makes it very easy to accidently turn the generator off. A simple fix was to place a guard around the switch. Locating the power wires for the MLG Module was a nightmare. They were bundled with and behind another wiring harness next to the actual generator. They should be placed next to the battery box where they are to be connected. The recommended 5/8" mounting bolts will not fit through the holes in the frame. I had to use 1/2" bolts. ...

You can never get too big of a generator. More power is better..

Very nice system

Although we haven’t yet had a power outage to fully test this Generac 30kw, the initial assessment of the unit has been favorable. The setup by the approved service provider was expertly performed and all test of the unit were successfully completed. We are anticipating the coming hurricane season in the south east with better than usual expectations. We hope that when the time comes Generac will take care of us.

Unavailability of replacement parts is a big problem

I have a 50kw Generac generator installed in 2007, it has worked pretty well, however recently the alternator on the engine has failed. When I called service to get it fixed I am told that a replacement part is no longer available. They can’t fix it. So I’m left with a generator that is unusable. I can’t recommend Generac generators.

Just Installed, will know more over time. Instalation went great. Commishening of the Generator was also great.

The Generator has just been installed. The commissioning went very well also . Function test performance was excellent. Expecting all features to perform well . Excited to have this 30 Kw Generac installed for Hurricane Season and occasional Ice storm.

This generac protector 30 KW Has great features

I just installed 3-14-21 Generac protector 30 kw it will run my whole house water well , 5 ton central ac , shop , This summer in ca. Rolling black outs. Generac has me covered. Solar panels won't help you in power outage. ITS LOT CHEAPER TO BUY GENERAC GENERATOR.

This is our second generator and both have great features and work seamless when an electrical outage occurs.

48 kw generator

You did not drain the radiator froze up, had to heat rad to remove your fluid, and put in glycol for my regions cold weather. the oil must come out and filled with oil for this climate, it was most likely mineral oil, has to come out. Otherwise Gen OK. do not like the fact it will not turn over unless coded.. I worked on generators in the mega watts for te last 60 years, so I know what I am doing! I wanted a 100 kw gen. but not available in single phase.

30 Amp cord too short

Like the fact that the setup will allow automatic transfer in case of power outage

too loud ,exhaust blackened the exterior louvers on all sides

way too loud, exhaust blackened the exterior of the louvers. took way too long to break in ,kept burning oil like I have never seen and Im a heavy equipt mechanic. I would go to the QT series they are alot quieter .

This unit was just installed but, I have not had a chance to experience the actual operation.

This unit has all the bells and whistles except I was surprised to have to purchase a WIFI adapter and pay an annual fee for being able to monitor it from my iPhone and computer.

So far, So good!

First a nod to Jason and his crew for a nice neat install. Unit was in service Friday PM and we had a storm and power failure early Sunday AM. Generator took over and is humming along nicely!
