Had watch for a month, still haven't tried all features. Wish it had altimeter. I was 69% complete on climbing Mt McKinley on Garmin app, but this watch doesn't track stairs. I wouldn't have bought if I had known. I only purchased because my vivoactive 4 band broke and you cant replace the band. Sleeping with the bigger face is bothersome as well.

Ordered two, both failed in less than five days
User interface is not intuitive. Many steps to set up- like two hours to get things dialed in including four different resets. I bought two - one for my wife and one for me. After the amount of time I put into mine I returned my wife's unopened to the store. Figured I would struggle through for a few days, but now the watch face is static, even though there are multiple faces available. Found out in forums this is a known problem to Garmin. They old UI was pretty good from what I've read, but th...

Vivoactive 5
I love my new Vivoactive 5. A new nice to have is the heartrate monitor for swimming. I am also looking forward to using the open water swimming feature.

Not great
I've owned a few Garmin watches and this one has been the worst. With only 2 lasers on the back it often times won't track, well anything. It's pretty and smaller, which is great, but definitely needs to have the 4 lasers like all of my other watches.

Not Water Resistant
I have had 2 Garmins. Venu 2 & Vivoactive 5. Both say they are water resistant. They had the swimming meter on them. Both quit working after about a year & a half. I swam in 3 ft of water 3 or 4 times a month (Jun-Sept). It is a shame, I really liked both watches. The water is the only thing I can think of that made them stop working.

Does the job
I replaced a Fitbit that over time the display became unreadable. The Garman is much easier to read. The Garmin menu system is not great to navigate. I am satisfied but not enthusiastic about the watch.

Nice upgrade from Vivoactive HR
My old Vivoactive HR broke down and it was time to upgrade. I bought the Vivoactive 5 even though there is a newer version since it was less expensive. The Vivoactive 5 connects to my phone immediately where the HR model took a while to connect after a run or workout. The display is bright and colorful and there are many options for the watch face. The only change I would like to make it to have the time of day on the workout option. Maybe there is a way to add this but I haven't figured it...

Won’t hold a charge
I bought mine in May and it already won’t hold a charge. Doesn’t even last 24 hours. I switched from Fitbit to garmin for this exact reason and my garmin has proven to be way worse than Fitbit products! So disappointing.

Not so good
My 5th Vivioactive watch over the last 12 years. Used for cycling, swimming, SUP, hiking(walking) pickleball and lots of other workouts and activities. This watch has quickly become a disappointment due to how it’s sensing and recording my workouts. My 4 was very accurate compared to the 5. Not sure if it’s the sensor or the software.

Ehh it’s alright
I bought my garmin to replace my Apple Watch. There’s no easy way to make it easy to start a workout. There’s no timer option. I do like the battery life

Great Watch Nice Features
Switched from FitBit and could not be happier. Love the features, the battery life. Very pleased with the recommendation to switch off features to extend the battery life. The silicone band I have reactions to so had to switch out band. The one thing I would recommend that I cannot find is when charging and I have gotten my steps in I am not able to add them to the day like I was with the other, I would really like to be able to add the steps in when charging or the workout in when charging but ...

Somewhat disappointing
I wanted something I did not have to charge daily and this fits the bill. Overall its a good watch, however it connects and disconnects constantly and I can not connect at the distance it said I could. That is very disappointing and obnoxious

Great features
This is my second Garmin. They have both worked great. I use it for running, walking, golf and swimming. The sleep and health features are great.

Very satisfied
I had a Vivo5 that wouldn't track my ride, hikes, steps. I was impressed by Garmin letting me do the exchange for the Vivoactive5. I am very pleased and satisfied with Garmin.

These watches have been great. GPS feature is very reliable and battery life remains excellent. I have put this on watch through a decent amount of abuse and have not had any issues. The body battery metric takes some getting used to, but has become a very helpful metric to follow. Sleep tracking is excellent.

A great upgrade from my Venu Sq
I bought this watch for my birthday as an upgrade from my old venu (which I loved). I'm really happy with how it looks, how it tracks my exercises and how easy it is to use.

Excellent Multiple Features!
Been enjoying this watch for a month now and still learning how much it does! I basically just wanted a good watch step counter! Love the morning weather, the sleep tracking and so much more. Very comfortable to wear.

Good features compared to a golf watch
I am on my third watch after the other two were unable to turn on. Might not purchase a garmin again.
