I like the watch a lot I did hope the battery would last a little longer. I ended up returning it after a week. I'm going to upgrade. Also I paired it with another fitness sponsbfcut was not recording all if my steps between the two. I loved watch aesthetics they are clean. The band was great quality.

Start/Stop button failed after 2 years of swimming
I’ve been using the Garmin Forerunner 255 since April 2024. As an active swimmer, this watch has been my daily companion for two years. I’ve always followed the maintenance guidelines, rinsing it in warm fresh water after every single pool session to prevent chlorine buildup. However, after exactly two years of use, the Start/Stop button has finally developed the dreaded 'sticky button' issue. It no longer has a tactile click and feels stiff compared to the other buttons. I’ve tried the recommen...

Easy Learning curve.
I have had the Forerunner 255 for several weeks now and am still learning but so far really love it!

Perfect runner’s watch, last of the MIP screens :(
It’s a perfect runner’s watch. I love the MIP screen—-always on with superior battery life and daytime visibility. I am going to be so disappointed when this thing finally needs replacement and garmin only has amoled options with this functionality. Please garmin, keep a reasonably priced mip option for us!

Very happy.
I was looking to replace my older Forerunner, whose battery was loosing power after many years of hard use. I'm really impressed with the Forerunner 255. I didn't expect to use the sleep or HRV functions, but I really find them useful. I'm also impressed with the wrist-based heart monitoring system. I double checked it against a pulse oximeter (for resting pulse rate) and found it consistently accurate. I'm still learning more about the features and settings, but I am pleased. Also like the sepa...

MIP all the way
I upgraded from the 245 to the 255 strategically because I wanted the new features but maintain the Memory In Pixel display. I never have liked the need to flip my wrist to see a screen (ie Apple, Samsung, Google). My battery life is phenomenal and the newer HR Sensor is great. My only complaint is that the most recent firmware update has caused some inconsistency with tracking HR. Hoping a new firmware is in the works.

Nice watch for my needs
I purchased my Forerunner 255 about two years ago and I have been very happy with it from the get-go. It tracks my runs, hikes, and cycling (when I forget to charge my 1030+) and well has steps, HR and other stats that I use for daily health. One of these days I will upgrade, for no other reason than to get a newer model, but that will need to wait because of price. That said, I am very happy with my 255 and will continue to use it daily to assist in my overall health needs.

Love My New Garmin!
This is my 5th Garmin Watch and each gets much better than the previous. Still learning what's new but really loving it!

Perfect for my needs
Great fitness device. My last Garmin (which still works just fine) is a Fenix 3, no HR. I was looking to get back to running after a significant hiatus, and liked all the features offered with the Forerunner 255. I'm pleased with the accuracy of the "on wrist" HR monitoring, which seems on par with my HRM 200 chest monitor. The characters are easy to read, the back light is quite bright when needed, and although weight is not a big deal with me, it's quite light on the wrist. If you can sti...

I love it
I got this two weeks ago. I love it. I’d rather this over an Apple Watch any day of the week.

Great replacement
Received this watch as a replacement for my 735xt . Works great in the pool as well as running. Have not used it on the bike since I have a garmin head unit. Has lost of features which I am still figuring out. It can provide lots of data , but since my eye sight is older I limit the screen to the larger most important stuff.

Garmin should keep making Memory In Pixel (MIP)
This watch is amazing in just about every way, but the main thing I love about it is the MIP display technology. Unlike other smart watches where you have to move your wrist to get it to turn on and tell the time, or where it glows in the dark when you don't want it to, the display is always on and uses minimal battery, thanks to MIP. I sincerely hope Garmin continues to make watches with this display technology.

It’s been so reliable!
This has been the best Garmin watch I’ve ever had. I use it daily for everything from running to hiking to biking to strength training at the gym. It seems very accurate and has been more reliable than any other garmin device I’ve ever had. Battery life is exceptional and it’s held up great over the past year and a half.

The basics are still 98% of the value.
Great GPS tracking and HRM. Everything else is optional. Training advice? Not for me. User Experience? Garmin take note CHANGES OF ANY SORT ARE BAD. Eg where is Bluetooth? Answer long hold of a random button NOT in settings menu. Plus it is now renamed Connectivity. Awful. Choose to switch off followed by yes or no BUT the default was Yes and has changed to No. Now to switch off you have two extra buttons - change to Yes then Confirm. These changes lose you business. You stick with a...

Easy to use, love it
Bought this for primarily rowing but also for biking and other activities. Really enjoying it, easy to set up. I thought the face size may be a bit big for my wrist, it still may be, but I got used to it and it's not overly big.

Great for Triathlon/Triathlon training
Necessary features/metrics for Triathlon training and racing, at a reasonable price. Works well with all heart rate straps (Wahoo Elemnt Rival had this issue). Only downside is that it doesn't have the full extended display feature to automatically sync to your head unit on the bike (Extended Display Mode), apparently it only broadcasts heart rate. Either way I can set my head unit up to stay on in transition and just hit start to see data on the bike.

I like everything about it
It has taken a while to figure it out, there's so much but it's worth it.
