A little confused for a senior.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I brought this Menards. Kind of hard to hook up for a senior. I had to get help. Got it to record a soap when I can’t be home. Haven’t tried that yet. Hopefully it’s easier than the hookup.

Works Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used this for a few months now, and it's a good product. I get impatient when I first turn it on while it boots, but the quality is there and it was worth the money.

Beware

It works if you can figure-out the confusing prompts and horrible remote. "EPG to Delete?"

Great Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great Product and very inexpensive. I installed a splitter on the antenna wire and now I can record one show and watch another channel on the TV at the same time. It is fantastic and Free recording with NO monthly fee. Fantastic Product. Easy to operate.

These units keep failing....

I would put a 0 if I could. I bought 2 of these and they both quit working. There are lots of bugs in the software..... Unfortunately there are few decent alternatives on the market... If they would fix the software/firmware that would be great. So in the meantime this is still the best option. I wish someone would connect with me and let me know if these can be repaired?

Love the recorder but wish it worked better!

If you schedule a recording to go 1 hour long, it shuts off after 55 minutes, 47 seconds consistently! The last 4 minutes, 13 seconds of the show didn’t get recorded. Consistently does this! not great needs usb to update software included

Had this thing quite a while. First 2 years i kept losing signal. Losing channels never found out if it was the unit So I don't know what was wrong with it on the inside or if they kept switching channel numbers or whatever with the dTV switch over. Record for later Viewing - FANTASTIC!!!

Works well enough but a short lifespan

Worked for 1 month then died. From reading other reviews that appears to be a common occurrence. When it did work it worked well enough, but the remote and user interface is poorly made.

Somewhat Satisfied

I bought this TV Tuner because my tv service does do not cover the new station CHSN which covers the Chicago Bulls, White Sox and Black Hawks but they can be viewed on the free HD-Digital tv channels. So far so good except the newly formed CHSN that they are featured on has 2 channels, the main channel 62.2 and 62.3 the backup channel. The main station uses MPEG5 and the backup channel does not. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First time I plugged this unit into my TV and did a channel search I got all kinds of channels and it was great. Then I tried to switch from HDMI connection to standard av rcas. Now I can't get any channels even when I switch it back to HDMI.

Worked for about a week. Then nothing.

This stopped working in about a week. Will not turn on anymore. Seems to not be getting power. Even though the outlet it is plugged into works fine. Apparently by these reviews this is a problem with them. But mine lasted only a week.

Great idea tv recorder and digital tuner in one!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about five days ago. My old one had quit. This one was so easy to set up and so quickly stored television stations even had more TV stored stations from this tuner than the other one I owned.

Defective

I tried to set up this device and right away had a problem. There was no menu display from which to choose functions you want to perform such as a channel search. I called GPX customer support and they were very good at answering the phone and trying to help me. Unfortunately, I was told the device was defective and I should return it. I will do that and I'm not sure I'll take a chance on another one. I will say customer support for this product is excellent.

Easy to i stall, works great
